Hands down the worst map in D2 PvP history. This map is beyond unbearable in 6v6 if you get stuck with A side; the spawn system not allowing you to spawn somewhere else despite the roaming supers just outside, having only 2 ways out of the A spawn, the A building having no less than 3 sightlines into it at any time, all of it just makes playing on this map an absolute nightmare. How this map ever survived the first round of DCV vaulting is beyond me, but dear god don't let it survive the next round as well.

2 RisposteZone A has been a death trap for YEARS. Once upon a time, Bungie took the map out of rotation to fix the respawns and months later they put it back having changed NOTHING. Yes, it's as stupid as it sounds. Good old lazy--blam!- Bungie. On the worst map in D2 PVP history thing... Well, in my opinion, that's shared among Exodus Blue, Anomaly and Twilight Gap. I can't understand why they removed D2 maps only to bring three of the worst maps they've ever designed from D1. Dead Cliffs is not a bad map, but it needs some work. This time for real.

3 RisposteTo be fair you only get stuck if your teams stupid. You can push out and flip spawns when people try to snipe their way out while sitting five feet out of spawn. It holds spawn so if you do try to flip it the other team won’t be thrown in A side. You also need to push together and instead of fighting the first person you see try to position yourself to flip first instead. “Never blame bungie for what can be attributed to low iq players. -Albert Einstein”. I would even argue having maps like that are critical for teaching people basics about paying attention to map positioning, spawn flipping and team play.

1 RispondiThis map makes me mad. Noobs are attracted to spawn A sniper lane like moths to a flame and not wanting to rotate anywhere else. Which means if you die at C, you get spawned at the back of A because of stupid idiots anchoring A spawn.

The issue is 3 fold. The respawns system. The layout of the map. And the position of B/heavy. The game is built to try and spawn you some place "safe" IE some play X meters from the nearest enemy. Due to how small and confined B & C are and how active they are for fights the game defaults to A as the safest place to respawn. The A zone also has very poor counter lanes to fight from and little effective cover. A to B is just a big open field with 1 pillar to hide behind. A to C also has an wide open lane you need to cross to take C and C to A has a sliver of amazing cover you can sniper from and be protected from people in A shooting back.. Once you push up from A to heavy you're opening yourself to no less then 7 sniper lanes. So while your enemy can hide and reposition your funnelled into a small space in an up hill fight to take B. Then you have C which is right next to its zone so that team can take their zone faster then A can giving them the chance to position up and defend the lanes before you even have chance to push in any direction. Then you have heavy which is protected by a large pillar making it impossible to prevent anyone from taking it If your coming from the field, leaving ONLY the doorway at A to counter attack from which opens you to attacks from C zones Catwalk. It's got SOOOO many issues!

Honestly, I wish the standard was 4v4 and that they would add in a permanent doubles list. I mean, it only put them on the map with Halo; why repeat that? 😂

7 RisposteWhile the layout is far from ideal, how often are you actually playing a full team that traps you in there, and how often do you just happen to get multiple bad players on your team that spawn, die, and then continue to challenge the same lane that leads to heavy and B flag over and over again ?

The stage really isn't that bad its just another one of those things where it relies on players doing something instead of the game totally doing it for them, so that's what you end up with. There's a way you have to play on that map and if you don't you get spawn killed on A the whole time. It's actually one of the reasons I like that map even though it can be a pain to play sometimes.
