I feel bad for the hunters because they lost their vanguard, but I think I know a way to bring him back without ruining any lore. He is an exo, so his memories and personalities should be accessible by computers. Why not have the guardian take cayde's motherboard and give it to the giant exo in braytech, where it will be re-uploaded into a new body?

Nope. 1. Even if you find a copy of Cayde and find a new body it would not be the Cayde we knew. Cayde was around for Hundreds of years and that time (what he saw and did) would alter him into who we knew. A new Cayde would be who he was when he was first made into a exo. He would have no idea of what happened before, during or after the Collapse. 2. He would not be a Guardian as he would not have been touched by the light and haveca ghost res him. 3. Bungie from the start said Cayde is gone and will not be back. From the start with the Forsaken storyline Bungie knew someone had to be lost but to get that emotional goal they wanted they knew it had to be Cayde. Also getting someone as busy as Nathan Fillion time to record his lines was becoming impossible.
