Not everyone are fortunate enough to have their own clan or fire-team that can assist in matters outside their own interest, whether it's a older Raid, Dungeon or Higher difficulty Nightfall. Some people just lack friends to begin with. Some like it that way others don't. But that is not the point.
Bungie, it's time you got of your high horse and gave something back to the solo players, give us the possibility to matchmake older content, like the Shattered throne, Gos, Pit of Heresy and so on.
There are so much content and like myself we have only skimmed the surface at this point.
The whole idea with a RPG or MMORPG is to have the fair chance to increase in stats and OBTAIN better gear without have the need for a private army of players.
I can bet my bottom dollar on that the playerbase would increase if Bungie would open some more doors to the casual and single players out there.
I have tried many time to solo Pit of heresy and i seem not be able to finish it. Why?
Really bad stat armor and lackluster weapons to begin with.
I watched a guy on Youtube that wasted över 8000 legendary shards on Master Rahool just to see what he could get. I have never even been closed 8000 shards in the first place. Every piece that need upgrades demands so much grind that i feel it's not worth it. But with a Matchmaking feature for the dungeons people would jump in , i certain of it. There are always people that want to make a run, and others can follow. No it's not the same as "guided" because this is matchmade and most people already know the route.
Just like Presage, i have run the mission so many times, just to end up getting obliterated in the end because of Sh*tty loot drops with bad stats and unfair RNG.
People run Crucible, Gambit and Nightfalls just to get better gear to be able to advance to high end content like VOG. There are so many out there that never will reach that far. Much because of the strict policy of the "elitist" players. And that will make Destiny veteran players drop of one by one.
But i guess that will never happen, cause if more players would flock to the servers Bungie would have a real meltdown and upgrading the hardware will never occur, cause why mend something that is already broken?
It's a real shame, so much content and much of it just wasted away instead for people to enjoy!
You wan't to grow in number Bungie?
UNLOCK MATCHMAKING FOR MORE CONTENT
Those who claim that will ruin the experience seem not to have played public events like Blind Well, Altars of Sorrow and Override. The work just flawless without people chatting on mic or typing messages.
Destiny is so broken and glitchy, and when you have to find other ways to play this type content the way it's not sopposed to be played. That right there says everything.
You want new raid gear, well if you can't get a fireteam together, either use a "boost service" or "glitch the game to skip segments to reach the bosses.
Those that feel they belong to the elite player group, well you have all the PVP, GM NF and VOG that you can play on the hardest difficulty and brag about.
I'm talking about just getting a fresh start with some decent loot so even a solo player can manage Presage on their own. Maybe that is to much to ask for.
Everything in this game cost materials, and without material you can not upgrade. Try getting ascendant shards without doing raids or dungeons.
Bungie open the door and let the players in for once!

25 Risposte
There are so much content and like myself we have only skimmed the surface at this point.
Actually, there really isn't that much content especially now knowing Bungie removed half the content in this game. Even then most of the loot in this game is either junk loot or loot not worth the time acquiring.
The whole idea with a RPG or MMORPG is to have the fair chance to increase in stats and OBTAIN better gear without have the need for a private army of players.
The problem here is, destiny has no identity and 7 years later Bungie still doesn't know what the game is. I do...
A circus that doesn't have funny clowns.

I can bet my bottom dollar on that the playerbase would increase if Bungie would open some more doors to the casual and single players out there.
This is actually true and in D1 that Bungie was more than willing to work with solo/casual players. Since Bungie refuses to add optional matchmaking, I wonder how high the turnover is with the new light system becase a lot of players leaving the game.
Just like Presage, i have run the mission so many times, just to end up getting obliterated in the end because of Sh*tty loot drops with bad stats and unfair RNG.
Do you mean the RNG that is manipulated that Bungie can adjust anytime they want to, as they have shown many times in the past 7 years when it comes to drop rates, and deliberately creating bad stats to drop more often than not? Now, even if Bungie adds optional matchmaking? It's still not going to fix the poorly designed loot system The RNG manipulation The bad drop rates The crapy stats that are designed to drop more often than not The overdone duplactes The absurd amount of junk loot The broken champions/mods, and whatever other issues Bungie literally caused. But it will make all that less stressful 👍

Dude just freaking meet another person and have a half-decent personality, jeezus. Social interaction is not that hard, hell if you need help with anything just hit me or my buddies up.
-
in conclusion you are horrible at the game, and want bungie to spoon feed you content in the game that isn't even hard.
-
What a bunch of self serving, incoherent babbling.

I’ll be honest… I never got an ascendant shard from an activity before two or three seasons ago that I can remember. I got the ones off the pass and would periodically buy one from banshee because it’s not hard to have an abundance of legendary shards if you play the game regularly. enhancement cores used to be too stingy but now they are plentiful because you get them from breaking down equipment. I don’t think Destiny is rpg enough to think that stats matter all that much outside PvP and even then it’s really preference. Weapon stats don’t matter THAT much… there are a couple of raid weapons (anarchy, divinity?) that make higher end content a little easier but I honestly haven’t used div since vog was the featured raid. I empathize with having trouble finding groups… my previous clan was dead dead for a long while. I’ve had a pretty solid group for the last year or so but we all take breaks from time to time so weekly raiding isn’t a thing anymore. We’ve done vog 3 or 4 times I think… we did max out DSC except for flawless though. Honestly you are limiting yourself by not engaging in the multiplayer aspects of a MULTIPLAYER (emphasis not yelling). That’s pretty much it. Destiny is built around a multiplayer experience. Yeah I wish they had an in game lfg board… but the Xbox lfg is adequate if you can find non-juvenile teammates. Matchmaking for raids and dungeons is nightmare fuel… this is coming from a guy that would sherpa newbies through dsc on the weekends during the height of covid. The thought on trying to do that with randos that don’t use a mic is wacko.
-
U know u can use LFG right? Even for old stuff there’s people who wanna do it. I have no issue finding people. Some YouTubers and streamers even have discord servers with LFG
Everything in this game cost materials, and without material you can not upgrade. Try getting ascendant shards without doing raids or dungeons.
Ok. I go to banshee and purchase them. I reset my valor I get one I reset my infamy I get one. Finish the season splicer quest, I get one. Finish season pass I get a few. I can do a 1000000 raids and dungeons. Will I ever get a shard? No. Shards don't drop in raids or dungeons.

While matchmaking would be nice for some older content, this post just screams "I can't do anything properly so I'm hoping some good player will matchmake with me so I can get a free ride".
-
As a solo player I wouldn't use matchmaking even if it was implemented. I would still have to get on headset and talk to others, which is the last thing I want to do when playing games.
-
Modificato da Kroggz: 8/19/2021 5:47:53 AMAs an almost entirely solo player I’m sorry to say it, but you are pretty much wrong and need to either use lfg or git gud. Here’s why: Raids absolutely wouldn’t work with matchmaking because not everyone has a mic, and raids are designed to be activities that require communication. For dungeons I was originally going to argue that the checkpoint system would ruin matchmaking but I just realized that they could implement a checkpoint based matchmaking so I think that would solve that. Still though, dungeons are pretty much meant to be raids for three people and if three noobs went in without mics they probably wouldn’t be able to finish it. For nightfalls I’m gonna start by saying that grandmasters wouldn’t work with matchmaking and I don’t think I have to explain that. Other than that the biggest problem is locked loadouts. If you match make into a nightfall with locked loadouts and no one has champion mods then you’re pretty much screwed. If they took off locked loadouts then they would have to increase the difficulty to make up for it because everything up to master is somewhat easy considering that as long as one person is alive the others can respawn themselves, and at that point master nightfalls would probably be too hard for most matchmade teams. For trials keep in mind that I’m a pve man, so I’m not nearly as confident on this one. I predict that trials matchmaking would be a very healthy change because it would probably make getting multiple wins much easier while keeping flawless pretty much equally difficult to achieve. At the same time though, I think it’s very possible that it could inflate the trials population so much that it makes getting flawless much easier than intended. Did I miss anything? What else doesn’t have matchmaking? Edit: You used Blind well, altars of sorrow, and override as an example of good matchmaking or whatever, but blind well and altars of sorrow are annoying as hell because the only way to get people is to sit there until several people are in your area and for altars you just have to hope that they’ll help with it after you start it

31 RisposteIf people can’t figure out to pass a ball in a strike what makes you think matchmade raids would go well?
-
1 RispondiIt will never happen for Raids. Never. Here's the logic: if Raids can be matchmade, then most players who use the matchmaking will be solo players and those who don't have microphones. Players that don't have good gear, as you claim, have little Raiding experience and can't communicate have no chance of beating a full Raid. Think about the Atheon encounter; with no communication, how will people know which Oracles to shoot? Which portal to open? Where to do damage? What Supers to use and who will use them? The chance of guessing the Oracles correctly in one cycle is 1 in 216, and Atheon is notoriously difficult to kill in one phase, even for the best teams. 2 phases is good and 3 is acceptable. Guessing Oracles correctly for three phases in a row is a chance of 1 in over 10 million. So, Raids can't stay the same. They have to be designed in a way that makes them beatable for random teams of 6 with little to no communication and any loadout. That means no mechanics that require speaking nor anything that randomly selects players. Bosses have to be weak and everything has to be simple. At that point, it's no longer the activity that you originally wanted to do. Raids that are dumbed-down to Menagerie level can't be called Raids.

Its not a solo game, get off the self entitlement, if they make the game easier to be done by 1 person then imagine how much easier it would be to groups of players. If you say “whats so bad about making something easier” then ill ask you why does a cheater cheat.

6 RisposteIf you can’t solo Pit, that sounds like a lapse of skill more than stats. I use an auto rifle, 72 rpm sniper, hand cannon and merciless. All of those sound pretty easy to obtain
get gud
2 RisposteYour minds in the right place… I just don’t think you fully 100% presented it right. Just doesn’t sound like some of the things you say could be 1000% true. Don’t get me wrong… I get people have bad RNG, or people don’t get to play as much. Eventually you’d get enough good stat armors eventually. Especially using the Prismatic Refractor (or whatever it’s called) and such. As I said, your in the right direction but I think you presented it wrong……

Everything in this game cost materials, and without material you can not upgrade. Try getting ascendant shards without doing raids or dungeons.
Presage is one of the easiest quests/missions/"dungeons" to run as a solo. Armour stats arent an issue there. It's more likely to be your lack of awareness and quite possibly bad play style/strategy.
if you're on PS, i'm more than happy to help you with getting Presage done
It really isn't all that hard to get high stat armour as a solo player. Even easier with the umbral thingy at the Helm, where you can focus up to 3 engrams a week for a specific stat. You've also got the corrupt chest you can do which can drop higher stat armour (along with weapons with decent perks) There's also IB with the four pinnacle bounties which have a possibility of dropping high stat armour (as well as random drops and token drops) Some vendors can have good (+ high) stat armour every week. There are weekly YT videos going over which vendor has what. General random "world drops" can drop good armour...etc
speaking of stats; why do need so much mobility on your titan & warlock? Those slots can be spent on boosting things like recovery, discipline etc. Unless you're a hunter, you dont really need high mobility.
Materials are easy to earn too. -You can spec your ghost for either cores or prisms or extra legendary loot (prosperity mod). -You can go see Spider and/or Banshee and buy some of the materials from them. -You can lfg for higher difficulty NF for example (Legend/Master) and farm them - really good during double rewards weeks. - Resetting your vanguard, crucible & gambit ranks gives you prisms and gold balls etc - Season pass ranks give you materials If you're struggling to solo something, use LFG and ask for help. Nothing wrong with doing that and there are plenty of other players out there who are helpful. Worst case, make an lfg post looking for others who havent completed dungeons etc yet and get it done together, even if it takes a tad longer Although it seems that, majority of your in game struggles are due to you not being very good as well lacking knowledge of how things work etc 🤷🏼 There are plenty of YT videos out there with very good & helpful info.

Some of the responses are great. I think some below actually believe they really are Guardians. Stop belittling their power fantasies and disrespecting their "achievements" in a video game!

I know its not what you asked but feel free to inspect me and join our clan. Someone on daily and were all happy to help get through any content, raids dungeons trials (not super pvp oriented group tho) grandmasters. It should be open to join for anyone

Modificato da DHawk12: 8/19/2021 12:26:44 PMI feel everything except master/gm stuff and raids should have mm. When it comes to the exemptions, bungie just needs to modify guided games and add loot incentives. Standard mm for those activities would have an extremely low success rate which bungie knows, they are protecting players from themselves.

1 RispondiI just miss the days where you could go to patrol areas in D1, see brand new players, and swoop in to help them complete public events or those beautiful "the enemy is moving against each other" clusterf*cks. You roll in, demolish entire waves of enemies with your Dragonsbreath (making orbs to boot, as a Defender Titan), provide shelter with a Glasshouse Ward of Dawn, and let the random blueberries get their Supers and go nuts... It was a simpler time...

4 RisposteModificato da ImOnlyBleeding: 8/17/2021 8:48:02 PMBoth agree and disagree on parts of your post. Matchmaking could easily be expanded, but it's not a good idea for everything. For nightfalls, I say allow Legend to be matchmade, so that you can consistently get the 100k pinnacle done without LFG. Master and especially GMs need more coordination, and should not be matchmade to keep non-serious players forcing others to carry them. For dungeons, it varies. Some dungeons, such as Harbinger and Presage, have fairly simple mechanics that require very little communication. Pit of Heresy is slightly more mechanical, and for the mechanics that do exist, someone that doesn't know what they're doing probably won't interfere with someone who does know the mechanics. However, with Shattered Throne and Prophecy, a clueless person could easily cause problems (killing a knight early at boss of Throne, or making the wrong kind of motes in Prophecy). So for the less-mechanical dungeons, matchmaking would be fine, but might be rough for the more-mechanical dungeons. For raids, I'd take a hard pass on matchmaking. The level of communication and coordination is too high to make it viable. Overall, the problem with introducing matchmaking for end-game activities is that it would primarily be used by inexperienced players or players looking for a carry, which is one of the reasons guided games has never worked well. Players like myself that have experience and already use LFG on a regular basis would stick to LFG to avoid the trainwreck into a dumpster fire that it would become (at least for raids). As for the materials, legendary shards are mostly a product of play time (dismantling legendaries). Ascendant shards are harder to farm outside of Master and GM nightfalls. You can farm prisms in nightfalls, and buy an ascendant shard with 10 prisms, but that is time consuming in hero nightfalls (another reason to add matchmaking to legend, where it is easier to farm prisms). For endgame gear, the most useful raid-excusive weapons are Divinity and Anarchy. However, they are far from essential, and pretty much everything else you can get solo.

5 RisposteImo all Dungeons should have matchmade activity like Vanguard. And yes I have said it before there should be at least a couple of matchmade raids imo, perhaps if they simplified them a bit. And Corrupted mission should be matchmade, I tried it solo again while Im at 1300 the mission is 1100 and I get two shotted by some stupid enemies. What the hell is corrupted anyway? it feels like a Master mission for fux sake....
-
Can agree with the title, but don't really have any decent ideas as to what it would involve. I realise matchmaking certain activities will be difficult to implement and make work in practice. However, I do think that the solo and casual players could use some love.
-
Im lucky to be in a great clan but I feel bungie should allow more matchmaking opportunities. Will it have issues yes but atleast it's there. Raids I can see not needing it...but nightfall (all difficulties), dungeons, etc. Should all have matchmaking.

25 RisposteIt's actually hilarious because you stated it yourself, it's an MMORPG style game...so you know what that means? GROUP UP AND OVERCOME HARD CONTENT AS A COMMUNITY!! I'm sick of seeing players complain about being stuck solo, its not bungie's fault you don't have friends to play with. It's not their fault you refuse to find people and team up. That's on you. I've met hundreds and hundreds of players through the years and if only 1 of 10 of those players becomes a long time friend, then that's fine. I founded my own clan and only accepted kind, helpful players and over time our clan got filled to max. Look for like minded players and stop complaining that an online community game makes you have to play with the community. Ffs it's the whole damned point of the game. You're ridiculous
