Gonna leave my two cents in spoilers. [spoiler]The way I see it, Stasis will always be a problem in pvp as long as freezing removes your ability to fight back; there's no noteworthy downside to it outside of simple user error or if there are multiple enemies (which aren't weaknesses exclusive to Stasis nor are they made worse when using it). Freezing, as a mechanic, easily turns would-be losses into wins or at least trades, grants a greater chance of survival by allowing you to run (or have a teammate clean up), and can act as a suppression system all wrapped up into one while also having relatively common use. While yes, there [i][b]is[/b][/i] some counterplay to freezing, much of that is not as engaging compared to light abilities since the latter does not have full stun capabilities. The closest thing we would have to "freezing" among light abilities is tether, but even tether doesn't stop you from shooting your guns and any ally can shoot the anchor to stop it prematurely unlike with Stasis. Personally, I think full-freezes can remain on the supers; they are meant to be powerful. Non-super freezing (Grenades, melee, aspects, etc), however, should only freeze the legs similar to how Variks was during the first Beyond Light mission. Even if it's with a restricted view or something, being able to somewhat fight back makes Stasis significantly less oppressive for better players while little should realistically change for bad players. TL;DR Full-freezing is bad and provides little fun counterplay; at the very least, restrict it to supers to keep them powerful but replace it with leg freezing on all other freeze sources against other Guardians. This should make it less problematic for better players while bad players shouldn't see all that much of a difference.[/spoiler]

I played freelance IB and honestly its been rather good going. Id say only 1 out of every 10 games has been a stasis fest. The other 9 were good fun tbh.

Seriously, you guys really need to accept that it's part of the game now. If you don't like it go play cod or so other game. This game has to adapt with new subclasses and abilities. Also the pvp side was broke as hell before Stasis and we all know it.

I agree. If people want to use Stasis. Let people play on their own. But I don't like my PVP gameplay being interrupted.

Have you tried not letting them freeze you? That gets me frozen a lot less.

Just wait. A good chunk of the community expressed their discontent about Stasis. YTs did the same, even those specialized in PvP. Bungie in one of the recent TWABs said that they're working on the freze mechanic. Soon or later Stasis will get nerfed again. Hipefully to the ground. Forever.

The problem is that there is no counter to stasis and I am sure SBMM is turned off, thus solo players are left out in the cold. Bungie being a left wing extremist company don’t seem to care, well it’s racist not to help the minority of solo player in favor of white supremacy majority team players. There I said it.

Its staying...just dont play pvp if you cant take it. Stasis not freezing or slowing is like solar without burning or void without supress. I'd be fine with shuriken not slowing if they returned them to 90 damage.
