There’s a lot of needless whining on this forum, but this is actually one of the better arguments. For starters it was something we had in D1 so it a feature that’s already made to some degree. Of all the systems from D1 they removed (most of which came back with enough pressure from players) this and the faction rep systems are unquestionably the most missed. Aside from that, the rate at which blue loot is earned (3-5 pieces at the end of any core activity) causes a lot of needless tower hopping. I can’t count the number of times I’ve gotten my pinnacle sent to the tower because I got 5 blue items to fill up all my remaining slots within 2-3 strikes. Lastly blues have 0 benefit to players at max level, or even in the pinnacle level range. Since they max out at 1300 and most players are sitting on thousands, of not 10’s of thousands, of weapon parts already, I see literally no purpose for them to drop. All they do is cram my inventory and force me to throw 9999 weapon parts into the vault every couple seasons. If we can have menu options as pointless as “do you want your helmet on or off in social spaces” I think it’s reasonable to ask for something as time saving as an auto dismantle system. Or better yet, rework the entire loot system so blue armor actually has a purpose. But I’ll take what I can get.
