Anyone tagged as a win trader i.e. trials wins with no kills, should have all rewards removed from thier accounts and collections.
This is only fair and is done in every game that has similar issues or modes. If an item is not earned via following rules and fair play, then the player would of never had those items nor the advantage they now enjoy. Now the power balance is upset with injections of op weapons to a far greater majority of unqualified players.
Cheating is cheating no matter if spelled aim botting or win trading, its circumventing the established rules of the game for profit. If an exampke is not set now and consequences felt then whats the next iteration of this to come?

5 RisposteIf they Win traded Flawless that week, and have zero kills... make them glow bright neon pink for the full week until next reset.... They get to keep their loot and pinnacle, and everyone who encounters them knows how they achieved flawless that week...

1 RispondiRemove the rich get richer atmosphere from trials and the problem goes away. Make trials a novelty and only a status thing and the problem goes away. When the best gear can only be obtained by either the best players or manipulation, people will find a way.
-
You lost me at “unqualified players” ....i take it youre a trials player...and youre mad casual players have the gun.....thats some high horse bull €+%#!
-
How dare people devise a way to circumvent having to play against cheaters and recovs
-
1 RispondiLots of bigger problems than that
-
1 RispondiModificato da Lee: 3/4/2021 2:47:28 AMBungie should let them keep the guns but find some way of targeting their weapons specifically and make them misfire or something damaging the user instead

PC ruins yet another portion of D2. Weird....

6 RisposteModificato da an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/3/2021 3:07:04 PMActually no, cheating is using third party software to manipulate the game. This specific win trading occasion had none of that. It was using a loophole in the in-game mechanics for benefit. An exploit, but not a cheat. No ToS or CoC was breached. Important destinction because bungo does not penalize players for exploits. Also what overpowered loot. Few weeks, the HC will be a 3. win reward and everybody'll have a roll after jumping off the map for a couple hours because the playlist playerbase is dead anyway. The couple extra stats from the adept bonus or +5 range from adept icarus will do nothing to upset the power balance in the game. You won't even notice them before you read the gun name in your got killed screen. Unqualified players. Lmao. You probably wont see it but this mindset is among the reasons every second trials match has a cheater, a recovery or a top 1% player on the opposing team.

Be interesting to actually see what happens, they have banned people for it in the past as its far from a new thing.

4 RisposteModificato da Swiftlock: 3/4/2021 5:47:42 PMYou're a bit confused. Cheating is using an external program to manipulate the game. This is an exploit. Not a cheat. Sure, people are ALWAYS going to take shortcuts, but when so many players are jumping off cliffs to avoid playing a mode over a bad loot system? The developers did something wrong.

Remove wintrading and recoveries more like
-
Recoveries and win trading should result in a permanent ban.

10 RisposteModificato da DredLaP: 3/3/2021 5:53:37 PMBalance is ruined by giving out top tier weps to the top 2-3% by blocking the lower 97% from getting them. Balance sadly, is restored by recovs and win/trading. Ive seen so many -blam!- about trials win trading, but they are fine running 12 man pve. Lets go get all of them too. Lets go big. Set a huge example and ban them all while we are at it. All of this over a video game and to protect a few gentle egos.

I agree, but only after all players who have been identified as malicious cheaters or manipulators have been dealt with. Not to say that win-trading being a lesser crime means it shouldn't be dealt with, just consider how quickly Bungie acted to shut down Trials once players figured out a way to guarantee rewards, meanwhile they have little issue allowing Trials to continue with full-on malicious cheating running rampant. None of this would have happened had Bungie actually made sure Trials was ready on re-release, instead of half raw.
-
7 RisposteThey didn’t cheat though. No I didn’t do it and am not on pc but they didn’t cheat. They literally just waited for another team to match up the same way. There was no violation of rules that I read or saw.
-
4 RisposteNot cheating. If using an exploit is cheating than 90% of the community should be banned going back to the loot cave.
-
Modificato da RoninPhoenix650: 3/3/2021 4:31:38 PMNo. Until they design a system that actually gives a fair shot at earning the rewards then you, them, or anybody else does not get to complain about people doing what they have to to counteract that shite system.
-
Cheating, yes, Win Trading, no. Until Bungie can find a way to prevent win-trading, this is difficult to do. Granted there are certain cases from this past weekend where it was clear certain people were doing nothing but win-trading, but it is not uncommon for teams to back out for various reasons. I don't play Trials often, but if I'm up against a team that is clearly going to get the win, I'm not wasting my time and just backing out. If enough teams do that against good players, should they be penalized for getting wins with 0 kills in the game? Similarly, plenty of people got their 3-win rewards doing nothing other than jumping off the map, resulting in 0 kills for both teams. Should those rewards also be stripped? The way to fix the problem is not take away rewards after the fact, but rather fix the problem itself.
-
To be fair though, many people jump off the edge anyway which would result in players getting no kill wins.

4 RisposteTook you 3 years to make this post?

4 Rispostelol....... just take a look at trails. it's one big cheat festival. nobody actually plays that shit legit, can't blame them. but following your logic, wich is sound. just delete trails. just delete it. there's like 2% legit players in their. the other 98% is cheating in some way or form. just delete that shit. ever since d1 trails has been one big clusterfu** of cheaters. it has never worked in a fair way. NEVER. just give up, delete it and blame the cheaters.
-
16 RisposteWould you be in favor of them removing gear from anyone and everyone whos ever cheesed any encounter?
-
2 RisposteThey should definitely remove all rewards otherwise what does that say to the people that actually play the game for gear?
-
It’s not cheating though.
-
Sure they could do that, but only if they also do the same for every recovery, carry (can’t tell which are paid and which aren’t) and every person doing such services for also violating tos, along with cheaters. Also, they should do so for every pve exploit. That would be the fair approach. But it is such a huge can of worms it likely isn’t worth the resources required. At the end of the day, nothing is really affected by people having loot. There is no in game trading economy thrown out of whack. The only thing hurt by this revelation is that some small minded people have their egos bruised because their monopolized loot is being more widely acquired. Putting a stop to the exploit is fine, though they should be stopping all the other exploits the same, but this is Bungie’s fault for poor game design incentivizing exploits like this.

13 RisposteI think win trading should be clamped down on but this is a impossible to take things back. It’s happened since before trials came back for pinnacle weapons and titles etc. Going forward I hope they manage to not only stop win trading but also make the game modes more rewarding so people don’t feel like they need to do this.
