They start health regen before you can stagger them again, and it makes them nearly unkillable. This is such a joke for people who are trying to farm the lost sectors. This needs to be fixed.

8 RisposteJust wait till VOG when you are trying to shoot oracles or defend a plate while getting spammed by overload minotaurs And knowing Bungie there will be overload sidearms that season
-
I think if they were more consistent in being able to be staggered by weapons then overload champions wouldn't be a big deal at all. Many times trying to use overload auto rifle and I empty the mag without staggering them, or they teleport just as they are about to be staggered. I also get the stagger sound effect yet they are not staggered. The most consistent way I have found to stagger them is with grenade mods and duskfield grenades.
-
I just kill them. Problem solved.

5 RisposteModificato da Meister_Code: 1/11/2021 12:42:45 AMWould you rather the game be super -blam!-ing easy and mindlessly boring instead? It already is... Try learning how to use the super simplified overload mods and and heavy weapon. Posts like this are why this game is in such a bad state (lol who am I kidding Bungie doesn't even read these). -blam!- making this shit easier because you can't figure out how to weapon swap to a heavy then back to a primary to stun the enemy again. LMAO!!!

1 RispondiWhen a champion enemy is more difficult than most of the strike endbosses in this game, i think something‘s wrong here.

Polaris Lance with the disruptor scout mod. Supet effective.

42 RisposteI hate champions as a mechanic in general. It’s an artificial difficulty mechanic that’s more annoying than challenging. Locked Load-outs due to only able to use whatever seasonal Gun Bungie decides to throw in the relic that time. Changes every season messing up whatever load-out you finally got to work. And it destroys player agency. “That hand cannon you like that stopped overloads? That stops unstoppables now.” As you can’t use weapons you would normally use. Feels like they’re trying to push you into using those weapons because the loot pool is so lacking now cause “sunsetting” that they only have a few weapons even close to decent dropping. And they’ll be gone soon too. Like they think we’ll be all “I hated hand cannons before but now after using the only three that are consistently dropping at the moment I lov...” Well it didn’t work, I hate them more. That “stop unstoppables” sentence alone should tell you how absurd the system is... Here’s a weapon mod to “stop unstoppables”... Lol wut?!? Then they not fûckîn “unstoppable” are they?!? 🤪 While it’s “better” now it’s on armor instead of guns, “better” doesn’t mean good. And armor perks were screwed because of it. Reload speeds? Grenade on melee? Melee on class? Well F you cause there’s 2 types of champions in this activity. Unless you use whatever subpar exotic has that stop champions modifier... Sure, lemme just grab Arianna’s Vow for barriers I’ll use 2-4x in this nightfall that has match game and not a single solar shield. 😑 It was never a good mechanic, I don’t see it ever being good (even if they make armor slot spots for those mods alone), and I swear if VoG comes back with champions as the touted “game changing” mechanic, I’m out. I already don’t like the new raid having it because now it literally forces you to use whatever they decide will stop overloads, which will change. Often. And the one advantage you get (grenade recharge on stagger, the other one doesn’t even work) will likely be gone next season. TLDR: The Champion mechanics = Artificial Difficulties. I Do NOT like.

3 RisposteThe only place they respond to properly being stunned is in the raid .. For some reason master nf & lost sectors they dont stagger properly
-
3 RisposteGive divinity a whirl if you have it. Obviously its best paired with a sword for champs, so it will gimp your boss dps, but its the most consistant way of very easily dealing with overload champs in master runs. The grenade mods are great too, but divinity works first time every time. I use a primary smg with anti barrier, divinity and a guillotine, and it makes the route to the bosses really easy. Then i use nades, super, divinity to kill boss
-
What bothers me is that all champions sometimes just decide to spam teleport to the point that you can’t shoot them before they teleport again
-
1 RispondiNight watch with overload and lament. Done. What's the issue.
-
Think the idea of these enemies was lazy anyway.
They start health regen before you can stagger them again, and it makes them nearly unkillable. This is such a joke for people who are trying to farm the lost sectors. This needs to be fixed.
That's why you need stop their health regen by using a weapon with overload rounds.

3 RisposteModificato da Necrogen: 1/10/2021 4:38:22 PMWhat needs to be fixed is our efforts on mars because the Dust Palace is lost to us again. Back in Cabal hands. Word is they've let Psion Flayers out of their cages, to dig around in the Central AI's Cortex. Which means they really want what's buried in there. If Rasputin was protecting it, it's valuable. We've got to flush those Flayers out.
-
1 RispondiThey are the easiest champions to deal with
-
The point is to insta kill them when you stagger them and with that class item mod with a solar or stasis subclass I don't see the issue. Just take care of the adds around it first.
-
2 RisposteYeah, pretty much impossible to kill them without something with ridiculous DPS like Lament. Especially solo.
-
People out here really still complaining about champs as if though D2 doesn't have an objectively easy PvE.
-
Only captains tbh
-
Champions in general are not really engaging.
-
I think of them as takens with health regen. - Skill spam ✅ - Teleportation spam ✅ - Gun shot spam ✅ Just like a taken 2.0 😅
-
Overload champions are the most annoying, constant teleports are the worst. Unstoppable and barrier aren't as bad but the restrictiveness of the mods is so frustrating. Imo would be better to have "overload primary" and "anti-barrier special", but only one of each type of anti-champion mod selectable on the artefact (also how about just having artefact mods always active once unlocked rather than having to slot them?)
-
It wasn't till this season they became annoying, just like with the dungeon fixs that weren't needed.
-
The champion artifact game plan is just horrible. Everyone want to run a scout and smg? Every season we have to find out what weapons and subclasses we can do content with....Play your way.....so long as it is limited to running strikes or something..

Modificato da
: 1/11/2021 2:35:21 AMMy main gripe with it is that bar a few exotics, bungie is now dictating what weapon types you can use in high level pve, making the already small amount of relevant weapons even smaller. It blows my mind that any game designer would think this is a good idea.
