Yes but hiding an item still leaves reason to be mad, again as i said, even though we weren't promised anything it still would've been better if it was free but we worked for it, it was not a passive event either, if we did it passively it would've taken weeks later than normal, but we grinded it for weeks and we got some gm rewards and a bright engram.

Again you missed a crucial point. The passive event was ALL players doing the event and we would have achieved it before the event went away. Due to a portion of the player base not being involved? No shit we wouldn't complete it without a modifier. And again, we were promised nothing... bungie could have given us NOTHING and people would still be mad. They always get mad over something.
