Harsher Penalties For Leaving Competitve
I don’t know if it’s just me but it feels like way too often I find myself in competitive matches where either a teammate or an enemy leaves the match within the first couple rounds, especially in the Mythic tiers.
It’s no fun having to either repeatedly bash two people over and over or be those two people with a rare chance at a comeback, I would be completely in favor of harsher penalties for leaving competitive matches the higher the tier you’re in. Longer temp bans, less forgiving of leaving frequently, etc. As it is, too many people leave too frequently
By the same token I’d also be in favor of doing what titanfall 2 does and allowing people to join a match in progress and just making a loss not hurt their ranking.

3 RisposteSerial offenders should go into their own lobby, banished forever. Leaving occasionally cos the pizza arrives or the dog ate the ethernet cord should be ok.

3 RisposteBungie should remove mida cat from comp so there's no non-glory reason to play. I quit sometimes, not seeing a possible way to win a match against superior opponents or if it's really close and I don't want the aggravation. I hate comp. I want mida cat. Don't care about streaks just want wins at fabled for the"supposed" chance at the one catalyst I don't, seemingly can't have. Random and unrelated, but more to the point, sorry for my part in quitting matches.

The word 'Competitive' is no where in the mode description anymore. Even Bungo probably realized the word 'competitive' was a misnomer due to their wonky P2P connections, inconsistent hit registration, unbalanced classes and weapons, nonsensical matchmaking... the list goes on. I give Bungo serious props for removing that misleading description a long time ago and yet here we are. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Oh and harsher punishments? Sorry, I doubt they would risk losing paying customers and going free 2 play probably didn't help.

4 RisposteThe problem is it could end up punishing players who didnt wuit but got kicked via an error code. Tbh if your playing comp at all and care about ranking. Get an lfg team together. Theres really no upside to solo comp.

Bungie has removed all meaning to even play crucible! Since beyond light comp matches are laid back, slow pace! Most teams play for life advantage and just run away constantly! But he’ll there isn’t even anything to play for, no weapon to chase, no reason to be in there other than the seven round wins for your powerful, but if your 1250 than even that’s a waist of time! Trials isn’t for the majority of people and the rest already have everything it has to offer! Adept weapons....ehhh there’s no real incentive to even make an attempt for them! Bungie has just ruined all reason to even play the crucible, apart from the raid this whole season and beyond light have been a huge let down, but it is Bungie and they haven’t delivered since forsaken so what do we expect!

4 RisposteYeah, it's annoying. I've had quite a few leave recently. But I understand that's the result of playing with random players. I should play with a premade team if I really care about glory. I was just going for 7 round wins, so I don't really care if I lose that bad. I play to win of course.

only reason i even play competitive is because i want the multi tool catalyst i absolutely hate it and i dont care about the losing i care about losing so fricking bad i have no chance of even getting thats the only reason i ever leave which honestly bungie needs to fix the fact that you lose glory points for losing instead making it akin to cod prestige where you level and you prestige no progress lost but you cant prestige unless you've won a set number of matches. or something to that effect. but honestly im giving up on destiny because of all this bs i havent gotten the multi tool catalyst and since i dont play in a group im a solo gamer im probably not gonna get it and thats whats another thing thats bull it requires you to play in a group in a good group to get higher in this which yeah not happening with that either.

They can't do that unless they fix their netcode. People get kicked too often and the ban system would serve to be more of a detriment to QOL that an improvement. Temp bans already increase in length with each violation. The system is fine as is.
