DESTINY: HACKER SCHOOL
In the way the game works today, players that are not focused on pvp are forced to play Crucible in exchange for character development or to advance on the campaign. Hence, you have to face players who where wrongly authorized to cheat and do so freely.
Well, since reporting leads to nothing and you're not willing to ban hackers from the game...
I suggest you take power and xp levels out of Crucible, as well as quests, and leave it as an isolated game mode. Then you can leave Crucible this mess you love to maintain and authorize, without getting in the way of everyone who plays with integrity. Leave it however you'd like, give away cheats as a reward to hackers, I don't care anymore. Just don't disturb us anymore.
Your neglect encourages and reinforces cheating mainly between beginners, the ones you've been working so hard to conquer. You allow rewards they realize they'll only obtain if they cheat.
You're letting your game turn into a hacker school, Bungie. This has, in fact, already consolidated.
So please, all I ask is that you release us from playing with your beloved hackers.

7 RisposteYou are on console buddy. The legit only form of cheating there is, is network manipulation . So unless you have gotten dossed you really have nothing to complain about in regards to cheating.

6 RisposteI agree. PvP should be a fun mess that you jump in with your friends here and there to just shoot at each other. I’m not a fan of Bungie putting powerful/pinnacle rewards in PvP just to help me be at a higher level for my PvE activities. I’d rather have the rewards tied to lost sectors, daily story missions, patrols or last years raid. This is just my biased opinion because I don’t enjoy PvP in this game in the slightest, but I will slog through it to get rewards.

7 RisposteThough things like cronus and xim exist, you're very unlikely to be coming across a lot of cheating on console, compared to pc. Chances are; you're either having a crappy connection or are coming up against players who are better than you.

Why wouldnt you expect PVP in a game that has constantly pushed PVP for 6 years? Power and light dont matter in PVP yet. Iron Banner and Trials havent been a thing for about 20 days.

Im fine with having to do crucible enough to just do 8 bounties and 3 matches. Gambit is were the real hacker school is, since it has power advantage enabled (vs other guardians, not pve enemies :(). It was espeically bad closer to the beginning of the expansion, since they left a little moon random bounty bug in that shot those that took advantage of it to being maxed out for the season in a few hours :|.

Posting this like PvP players don't need to do ten times the involuntary PvE to get things they need.

This happens to every single PC game, especially if its free to play. Why do you expect this to be any different? You can use mouse keyboard on Consoles now, only thing you can't do is use your super custom gpu rigs and edit the FoV yet. Oh well. You should have know the risks when you signed up for the "Master Race" platform. I prefer solo or co-op games for PC. I don't trust random players in competitive PvP games or modes and feel like it should be an understood aspect. Oh well. Pros and Cons I guess, just gotta pick your poison. And if you find the 1 in a million cheater on console report their account. Because Microsoft and Sony take their security alot better than Bungo. Personally I feel like the one thing Bungie should have taken an example from with Activision and their games is kill cams. Literally the best way to spot a cheater for sure.

You play Ps4, the chances of cheaters are minimal. I think you just don't like pvp, so stay out. You don't gain that much anyway.

1 RispondiI was patrolling Europa, doing my stasis stuff. I see this hunter flying (superman style) around with his xenophage. You could see him raining down terror on the vex, at 900rpm. It was quite the site to observe!

The OPs point isn't wrong tho. If your going to neglect the mode don't have rewards in there and don't make any quest steps tied to it . It's two fold your not rewarding or encouraging the dishonest players behaviour and secondly your not punishing discouraging the honest players who just want to play . Now trials has been gone for 4 weeks I wonder how much cash the recov crowd have lost and frankly it really hasn't been missed but once it starts again we all know the cesspool it will become with adept weapons being on the menu

Cheaters suck, but you're not losing to them. Maybe reporting doesn't it work bc 1,000's of bad players report decent players for cheating when in fact they aren't. To sum it up.. you just don't like curcible bc you're not good at it.. therefor, no rewards should be tied to it. That's the real point, no?

1 RispondiI get that the hackers are bad, but there are ways to fix that problem without further destroying the crucible. You're asking for them to completely remove incentives from the crucible, meaning those who like to play pvp wont be rewarded for it, and will be forced into pve. It's the opposite problem, only that you can level while still avoiding crucible as it is now. To get the best stuff, to have the highest power, I see nothing wrong with having to play the whole game, and as much as so many people would love if it weren't, crucible is included when people say "the whole game."
