This game fails its audience
We need raidnmarchmaking missing out on the main content because my headphones broke is not a fair deal. Guides game I've never had a game just sat waiting for hours please add raid matchmaking

Raids can have MM and be good to learn like how WoW did it in Mists of Pandaria. The MM raid gave everyone a taste of the mechanics without the stress of things going wrong. Plus it rewarded the same loot, albeit a slightly weaker version. Bosses were slightly easier and just had their main go to mechanic on show. Do it the same way. MM raid teaches the mechanics without fear of wiping let’s say. Drops the same gear but doesn’t have as good stats. The weapon and or armour piece then require a shard from a normal clear to upgrade it to the regular version while also having regular versions drop in the normal raid. By here, there should be no excuses on knowing mechanics as they should have the basics down. But also introduce a new mechanic. Bosses also be stronger. Then have the prestige/heroic/whatever top version of the raid offer adept versions of everything and a catalyst at the end to upgrade any of your normal or beginner pieces to adept and unlock its full potential. Also add new mechanic and make bosses even harder. It’s a concept that’s been in games for quite awhile to get people into raiding. 🤷🏼♂️

14 RisposteRaids should not have matchmaking because they need to have coordenation from the whole team. Besides, there may be people that dont know what they are doing, people that dont have mics, people that leave when they wipe, and so on.

Or just have a normal in-game LFG, I'm relatively lucky being on Xbox since Xbox has its own LFG but the fact is that Destiny is a heavily team based and '[i]social[/i]' game with no means to connect to anyone apart from your clan and even then that's the bare minimum. Even GTA V has the ability to set up lobbies with a host, in-game clan (crew) search engine and the ability to join waiting queues for lobbies on call. Like if they had a more social feel to the game where it'll be easier for players to connect with other like-minded gamers then it'll be easier to find a team for the desired game mode. Just put in another tab titled 'social', has pretty much everything there in terms of setting up a post declaring your looking for or hosting a raid team/trials/competitive/whatever. And when you set up a raid you can toggle the option for 'private' or 'public' so any person can join with added settings that a host can adjust for public joining, for example, option that anyone can join as long as youre over a certain light level 1060+ for example. So a host can easily create a post in the social section as well as set up a game with their desired options; minimum desired light level, certain exotic unlock, number of raid completions, number or flawless, what class and what mods and mic required. Basically just give us what's on the app and implement it in-game.

I'm just going to be blunt: people are too stupid for raid matchmaking. Combine that with no communication and you have an exercise in futility of the highest degree.

I dont see how adding matchmaking would fix the problem of your headphones being broken you still probably wouldn't be able to complete it

Wait wait wait, hold up! You want to matchmake a Raid because your headset broke? As in not communicating? This is one of the exact reasons Raids do not have matchmaking.

If you're too lazy to spend a little time on an LFG app looking for a group to suit your needs (which is easy btw) , then why would I want your lazy ass on my fire team in a match made raid? Chances are you are too lazy to learn the mechanics, and with no mic, the others can't teach you. On top of that, you would be the one to leave the raid after a couple team wipes due to you not knowing or understanding the mechanic, or have the ability to learn said mechanics through communication, thus leaving the rest of the raiders short handed due to your own ignorance and selfishness. Raids take communication to complete, and you aren't willing to replace a $10 headset? Hard pass on your suggestion.

You cannot raid with no mic. Pretty counter productive in alot of raids. They need to add matchmaking as much as you need to add a mic.

But how are you gonna communicate with the people if you have no headphones? It seems like the answer to your problem is gonna be to get new headphones. It’s much better than having matchmaking for raids which will not solve anything. Remember, there are still people who don’t know to throw the ball to teammates in the corrupted strike. However, I would love an in game LFG.

As much as I would love to agree with you, it's not possible mate, we used to take people through raids in our clan, but even with commu. It was hard sometimes. It will never happen.

If you don't care enough to replace them, then you're not dedicated enough to finish a raid. Matchmaking will NOT magically get you raid completions, ESPECIALLY not with 5 other no-mic noobs.

For some raids you need specific class/element/weapon combinations that you will never get with matchmaking, not to mention a lot of players without even a mic will try to find a team hoping to get carried. That would be a completely waste of time. LFG tool on app is perfect cause you can inspect and talk to players before get into the raid.
