If you look up NM hunt rewards each one has a specific drop for weapon and armor. If you run Master it's a pinnacle drop. This has worked for me.

The specific drop is the item you can turn into the lecturn or whatever it's called to get a 1050 item from the moon loot. The lecturn is next to eris when you load into the moon.

The specific item from killing the boss which differs for each hunt is the item you turn into the lecturn next to eris to get a specific piece of gear. They are only legendary drops. These items can also randomly drop from chests on the moon in patrol and lost sector chests. Only thing is you need to complete the mini quest to get the items. In the nightmare hun t they drop completed. The nightmare hunt drop of the item is Just like when you do the weekly bounty for eris that requires clearing 3 of the lost sectors on the moon. You get an item to unlock a door in the 4th lost sector and get the item to turn into the lecturn.

I'm not talking about the drop you get from completing 3 NM, if you complete a Master NM you get a +2 Pinnacle drop, it drops from the boss, no lectern ish

You mentioned a specific drop for killing the boss. Just explaining what the specific drop is. I said the +2 pinnacle is a random drop and not specific from the moon loot pool.

Unless people are running the same 2 NM hunts out of familiarity, honestly not a huge fan of the pinnacle grind but this worked for me.

I only run 3 of the nightmare hunts in the master difficulty and have gotten all different reward drops. This week we ran 3 master nightmare hunts(the fanatic) and got a helmet on my hunter,arc logic on my warlock, and the sword on my titan. My buddy got a exotic drop each time. It’s rng.
