I can't be the only veteran who's kinda annoyed that when D2 went free to play we didn't get anything out of it. Like all of a sudden the game that we had bought and spent time and money on was free and we didn't get anything for it, not even like a free season pass or a cosmetic that's exclusive for old light. I know they can't give us a free DLC or something big like that (as brilliant as a free DLC would be) because we did buy it of our own volition but it would have been nice to get something kinda like "here thanks for supporting us" idk maybe I'm the only one who is a bit annoyed but still would be nice.

nope only hate when i have to play with those blueberries it's disaster sometimes

I was, and still am, OK with it. I’ve had more than my money’s worth from Destiny 2. Would it have been nice for people with a history of playing since launch to get something ? Yeah, of course. However I’m not going to be upset because we didn’t.
-
I’ve played since Year 1. I got to experience the ups and downs up to two years prior to New Light. I’m not even mad. I really dislike when “veteran players” bring this up.
-
What do you mean didnt get anythk g out of it? We got to play a couple years before it went free to play lol

Modificato da Spooky_Ari: 5/5/2020 4:40:13 PMYou paid to use the service at the time. What, you want a refund for your movie ticket, or a special gift for seeing it in theaters after it became free to watch online? See, this is why I don't celebrate birthdays or engage in pleasantries, it only promotes expectation.

Oh man don’t get the D1 beta players started !!! 😂
-
Dont care, got my moneys worth

1 RispondiVeterans have been annoyed for decades. VA care is a joke. Returning soldiers are treated horribly and a lot end up homeless. They’re underpaid and under funded. And PTSD is a very real issue. Annoyed doesn’t even begin to describe how Veterans feel.... Salute to all who that have given the ultimate sacrifice and have or are currently Serving!

Highly.

I'm fine with it

No not annoyed at all. Happy more players get to experience the game.
-
1 RispondiIf veterans are annoyed by this, then you could care less and are just looking for free shit. As a vet myself I put in enough hours in D1 to justify every penny I spent on both games.

5 RisposteI’m more curious when Bungie will let me redeem my Ramen coupon...

17 RisposteYep, my hearing sucks and my knees and back are shot. Oh you meant “ Veteran “ of video games. I’m sorry it’s so hard on you.

1 RispondiWhy the hell is this getting upvotes?

We did. We got to play destiny for ~3 years before the f2p crowd got to play.

16 RisposteModificato da SwankyButters: 5/4/2020 9:44:04 AMBungie is like that friend you loan money to that quickly forgets you loaned him money. Bungie: "You want to know what I am going to do with all that I have built?" Me: "With the money I gave you?" Bungie: "Oh did you? Anyway, I'm going to give a lot of it away free but get this... If they want extra cool stuff, they have to pay for it. Super cool right?" Me: "You mean me as well, right? Even after all I gave you?" Bungie: "Did you give me? Sorry, my memory is a bit bad. So anyway, isn't that a cool idea?" Me: "It's an idea.......So what do I get for supporting you all these years." Bungie: "The joy of knowing you played this game for all these years." Me: "That's it?" Bungie: "Yeah." Me: "ok."

That's what moments of triumph is for.

2 RisposteClaiming to be a veteran by playing a game is a massive disrespect to the true veterans in this world You should be ashamed of yourself

6 RisposteDude... don't get me started. I'm more than annoyed. I was bamboozled by a bunch of dishonest soyboy developer wannabes. I could do a better job than them and I've never coded a damn thing in my life.
-
I’m more annoyed that destiny 2 is pushing microtransactions so hard more than destiny 2 going free to play. Eververse was fine in year 1, no reason to change it other than greed.
Any veterans annoyed?
Mostly at the kids who cry and complain about things us vets know how to deal with and have been doing so since D1 Beta. Before replying to someone with a bad reply, I check their join date first. If they've been here for less than three years, I let them have it. If they've been here as long as I have, then I see how they came to that conclusion. Often older vets will have brayne werk guuud moments. Lord knows I've had enough of them, haha!
