Trial Of Osiris (Problems with matchmaking)
Let me ask you. Is really everything what you promise about matchmaking in trials working? I mean we got 2 wins and then we catch only people who has done already flawless 1 or 3 and more times? Is this really alright?

2 RisposteIt only counts the actual card . If you have 2 wins, you meet other two wins. How many finished cards you have is not taken into consideration

4 RisposteSweats resetting their card at 4 wins to farm tokens for shotgun. Terrible implementation by bungle. The regular guy has zero chance at anything. I didn't even play this weekend. If the sweats in my clan say it's a sweat fest, I'm out.

Lmao I knew trials was going to be the same sh.t show as in d1. Same cheaters same sweat hogs, and now the carriers can make money again.

4 RisposteBesides farming the dubbed best shotgun in the game by youtubers/streamers players are also going for the triumph to get 10 wins after a lighthouse visit. Good that it gives them incentive and reason to play but creates a form of gatekeeping. Plus the community has always been about flex so they have no issue with driving up the emblem count either. My experience is the same though. Not very often I ran into what would appear to be regular teams. More often than not played against multi flawless players several games in a row before even one win.

1 RispondiIts not a glitch. Stacked sweats are farming for the shotgun roll so they are resetting their cards at 3 wins to guareentee farming the shotgun.

6 RisposteIts wins on card based, nothing else. Any team with the same wins as you on the card they hold can match you. No matter how many flawless runs they did. Its always been this way. Im not sure what is so hard for people to understand.

Its card based but when you got flawless teams farming matches 1-3 for tokens then it's a problem. All the flawless teams are playing first 3 games and then resetting their cards. Bungie has definitely screwed Trials up.

1 RispondiPart of this is about exploiting the loot pool. Matchmaking is card-based. But lots of very good players are resetting their cards after 4 wins to avoid adding the Summoner AR to their loot pool. That was they can farm the shotgun. This causes more sweaty teams to be perpetually stuck in 0-4 wins which means more sweaty matches for casuals early on in the card.

1 RispondiTrials isn't sbmm. You face people who have the same number of wins and the best connection. You can face anyone if the stars align. It's a end game activity meant for the biggest tryhards in pvp. Treat it like a raid. If you can't seem to do it, then either try to learn and get better, or it's best to not play it.

Yeah matchmaking is struggling. First match of the weekend i played a team. 1 19 trials win streak and another with 5 Flawless runs. I have yet to go flawless mainly due to not having the same skill level and also not playing D1 PVP so Anomaly was a rough go. But even still the i find Trials is not handling the matchmaking well. I can get to 4 or 5 wins but usually most the teams are stacked with multiple flawless. They should introduce a system where as you get more flawless runs it starts matching with teams of equal flawless or close too instead. Around 3 to 4 flawless introduces a new bracket with better weekly rewards and so on

Players that have already gone flawless should only face other flawless players, honestly trials is such a hassle for the 90% of the community it would have been better if bungie added all this trials gear and weapons on comp. I am already half way there for legend this season, I would’ve had the majority of the trials stuff if that was the case lol

If your aim is to get to the top in a competetive ladder you need to win over all your competition. Now if the argument was to remove the already once flawless-that-weekend teams from the first couple wins -matchmaking who're only token farming at that point and move them towards later wins, I agree. But it should be done with reward incentives, by making the later wins more rewarding regarding tokens. Reward more tokens per win the higher you are at your wins on the card and suddenly the high-tier teams have a reason to not reset after every win. But you will be fighting those teams if you're going for flawless, sooner or later. That is also the point.

2 RisposteThe problem is good teams farming tokens are going to 3 wins and resetting so they don't play sweats and can just keep pubstoming the early games on the card. Not sure how bungie even fixes this besides a lockout

Yes because Trials since the beginning was meant to be for the best of the best / sweaties. It’s not their fault you can’t beat them. Be lucky Icebreaker and Hawkmoon aren’t a thing anymore, because you would be crying in D1 trials. You can’t expect wins to be handed to you, nor can you expect to go flawless in the first 2 weeks. Not to mention the meta that comes with it now, the level advantages people refuse to believe, and the fact that they don’t understand that sweaties are going to be in trials regardless of whether you want it or not. No amount of matchmaking can fix that, anyway since smurfs are a thing. Bottom line, stop complaining about Trials and get good at PvP so you can take home the flawless.

1 RispondiYes. Every person that went flawless gets the same matchmaking. We matched with 19 times flawless team and 27 times flawless on friday for our flawless run... overcome, trials is supposed to be hard

I got lucky asf. I had some good teammates and I’m only average. I did use hard light because I need to be meta if I want to compete with the real deals. My team and I went on a 21 game streak last weak. We tried to continue it this week but only got it up to 26

1 Rispondino this is by design. they way it was supposed to go was like this; flawless teams will steam past wins till around games 5-7, then be matched with higher leveled teams. HOWEVER IN ANOTHER LACK OF FORESIGHT. after you go flawless in a weekend, you have no reason to go past wins 3 or 5, so flawless teams camp out lower skilled teams in rounds 3-5 to farm the weapons/bounties. so you will never get past 3.

It’s not alright. But Bungie and that Oompa-Loompa Luke Smith don’t cater to normal gamers. They cater to streamers and the elite. Trials sucks for everyone except the top 1-2% of the PvP community and it’s a god awful experience for everyone else. And Bungie isn’t listening. And Bungie doesn’t care. And Bungie doesn’t read this forum. And the people in this community don’t care either. It’s brutal.
