I need to step in and mention Exotics are not included on the infusion nerf YET. They state that in the article. They mention YET. Meaning there maybe planning for it in the future.

There's no way they ever will. It simply wouldn't make sense for the game tbh

If they see that the legendary cap achieves what they want, it will also work for exotics. I would not put it past them to do the same thing with exotics. It would also force them to release more extoics since theyve dwindled on that front.
