Ive been playing destiny 2 but my interest is really starting to fall off. Im thinking of going back to d1 and completing all the quests that dont require a team. What are your thoughts on destiny 2 so far?
Edit: nice to see so many of you. I have another question for you all to answer. How would you feel if they merged d1 and d2 to make 1 evolving world like they said in d2 shadowkeep vidoc?

I'm a D1 vet. Still here.

I am. From beta summer. Man the magic i felt playing D1 was so special. Sadly it has kept declining and i feel the best days of this franchise are well behind us. I sincerely still play because i am in a clan with a great bunch of dudes. We chat and BS while pvp and run pve. When my clan is not on i do not even get on and if i do i find myself getting off almost right away.

Modificato da High Noon at Jötunn Saloon: 1/15/2020 12:13:19 PMD1 had heart even though the main story was terrible. I'd take it back in a heartbeat. There are a few QOL things from D2 I'd bring over like mantling and instant sparrow summon.

Modificato da crazycazza95: 1/15/2020 11:42:14 AMCombine the magic and sense of accomplishment from D1 with the QoL of D2 and then its the perfect combo. Add the D2 story as DLC then that would make it better.

Played D1 from close to launch till last update was my go to game for that period loved it. It wasn’t perfect and had less to do but felt fun and our guardians felt powerful. D2 wise played little bit of season 1/2 and wasnt hooked so pretty much skipped season 3/4/5/6/7 then started again half way through season 8. Its ok once you except it for what it is, long since gave up hope on bungie being able make it into the 5* AAA game it could be. I think we all see its into its last 18months of support & they just want squeeze £££ out people for next project, so just going try enjoy it while can. £8 for season pass every 3months i can live with that, just not buying anymore dlc.

4 years now including my other account and I feel you, I've recently started d1 fresh on this account and really enjoying playing through it. Leveling feels meaningful along with strikes and loot. What I notice a staggering difference is the amount of legendaries and exotics that saturate d2, they are 10 a penny. Not necessarily a bad thing to some people. Overall d1 still feels better with out the benefits of planet hoping and spawn shifting on planets. Load times are faster, crucible is a bit hit and miss as the population isn't as big. Enjoying the nostalgia and content again without it feeling boring and labourous.

I miss it a lot honestly, every aspect felt better to me. The only raids that compare are Crown and Last Wish. D1 raid loot is way better than D2, only D2 I really like are the ones from eater, the hand cannon from garden, and the fusion from scourge. I liked every patrol zone more (except Mars). I liked every D1 pvp map, I can't really name a D2 one I really like. I enjoyed most D1 strikes, D2 strikes just don't scratch that itch. It was just better
-
1 RispondiI miss Old Russia, Venus, Dreadnaught and The Plaguelands. D2 changed so many things and did so many things wrong...would be nice if D2 was just an add on for D1.
-
2 RisposteI did SO many raids in D1. Now I just don’t feel motivated enough to do them (plus there is the increased toxicity of the raiding community).
-
2 Risposteconsidering destiny 1 didn't require me to play 24/7 for the fear of missing out on something? Im pretty much the same. Sundial blows. It's just like the 14th horde mode we've been given now, and I'm really -blam!-ing over horde modes. Destiny one never felt like someone was holding a limited time gun to my head. I'm burnt out and honestly, considering just writing this series off as going nowhere, like warframe. It doesn't help that they continue to increase the loot drops, meanwhile my vault and postmaster are bursting at the seems, as I come to the realization that I have to basically scrap all my year 1 weapons to keep up. Even the ones with unique element burns that you can't get anymore on that weapon. It saddens me what this has become.

Modificato da Joulevette12: 1/15/2020 7:21:15 AMas a D1 Vet im kinda pissed cause D2 was going to be a improved D1 but no we when backwards and spent the last 3 years fixing it due to bungie mangement theirs was not too many things wrong with D1 all they had to do is fixed the problem that was a issue in D1 and improved them i will admit the D2 strikes are great i love them but the raids NO! D1 raids where way better and after sooooo long we been saying since D1 matchmaking nightfall finally the only thing keeping this game alive is eververse that season pass and it seems we spend more of our time fixing this damn game and eververse then anything else like adding more weapons in a looter shooter 1. revised all strike loot 2. Add more weapons to the loot table and bring bak more year 1 weapons ( why is this so hard you could easy get gun models from D1 to help you even blue gun models weapon models from D2) 3.update the damn vendors besides ritual weapons and shaders each season 4.bring back factions (why was this a problem in the first place all you had to do is implement the same system you had in D1 that all) 5. my opinion ive been playing since D2 launch and all i have to say is (Where our increased Vault space ) lol 6. since we Vets grinding bright dust since the eververse engram is trash to us and only useful to new light players give us a option to dismantle the engram to 400 brightdust giving options to new and old players (-_- why is it no one thought this)

Started week 2 or 3? Can't remember that far back lol. Yea I only log in on Tuesday to raid with the buddies and then we're all off back to other games really. Kinda sad really, I met a lot of friends and my Wife (during Taken King) playing this game. So it pains me a little to see it this way and feel about it the same way.

Modificato da Ishigauche: 1/15/2020 11:05:47 AMStarted playing in House of Wolves. This franchise has had ups, and downs. As much as people say D1 was the golden age and such, D2 has had the same exact moments, for the most part. D1 had content droughts and bad times. D2 has content overload, and some stuff is too shallow. I mean, this is all new territory for gaming, in hindsight. We don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes. As memed as it is, game development is hard. Not every studio is the same. We don't know how much of what team is working in what. What potential bugs may be introduced with different patches. We don't know their funding situation and where finances go. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't exclusively Eververse. Granted, I'm not 100 percent happy with how it is now, but it is what it is. I'd rather focus on enjoying what I like about the game than focusing on the negative and spewing hatred endlessly. Games are for fun, they're supposed to be entertaining. I still love Destiny 2. Sure, some experiences I had in D1 I'll likely never have in D2. But it's still an amazing game, overall. I'm not saying it doesnt have its issues, but it's still fun to me. That's really all that matters. Some positives in D2: Fast travel Clamber Public event tracking Emote wheel Emblem trackers Insta summon on sparrows Ghosts having better perks More fleshed out story Class abilities Cooler supers Having a better weapon slot system Armor 2.0 Better overall stats, more tuning ability Seasonal artifacts/mods Universal Ornaments Streamlined loot (Menagerie, GP, Sundial) Catalysts and Kill Trackers Clans, clan perks, banners, and that stuff I could go on, but here are some negatives Packages losing the ability to choose the type of reward No chroma No Trials No Factions Less subclass customization Shader system (economy) Probably more, but those are the main ones I can think of.

I’m still hanging on in D2. I am in the middle of a short break after burning myself out. I’ll be back for the new fusion rifle.
-
D1 year one here, always loved the game but these recent changes to pvp and lack of grind/challenges is putting this game at its worst imo.
-
What are your thoughts on destiny 2 so far?
It's still really fun to play. The trick is to play what you want & ignore everything else.

D1 beta vet. 99% of my good destiny memories are from D1 to this day.

Modificato da Level 4 Dreg: 1/15/2020 10:22:16 AMDay one vet. Was sitting at my tv the moment the servers went live for the first time. Fond memories. I’ve come and gone over the years. Still love the game. Would like to play a lot more. Real life gets in the way of that for me though. Things aren’t perfect right now but I’m optimistic for the future. My main gripes; Bounties are a problem. High level activities need more payoff. Unique weapons/armour, high stat loot, upgrade mats, and more XP rewards need to be added. Back in the day I’d raid all day trying to get fatebringer and mythoclast etc. It felt really rewarding to rock the custom white shader you’d get only for completing HM raid. Early on that was cool. There doesn’t seem to be that atmosphere anymore. You can’t really “earn” amazing loot currently. The most eye catching gear and skins are sold for cash. It really kills the prestige of a loot based game imo. Certain skins for weapons could be added to specific raids, PVP/gambit resets etc. There are so many simple options to reward the players for working hard to achieve in this game. Bring it back, Bungie!
-
Modificato da Krantzstone: 1/15/2020 9:29:02 AMDestiny 2 needs dedicated servers. Edit: So does Destiny 1 and Destiny 3 for that matter. :P
-
2 RisposteI am! Played it too much (I took over a year off before D2 and still in the top 8% of time played!). D1 had a certain magic I feel D2 lacks. Part of that is the raid / end game which I thought was better. Also because it was a newer game, I had a more regular clan to play with.
-
WWI vets? Probably none.
-
As for an enjoyment factor for me D1 was better in its moments, I got a great buzz from all the good things D1 had to offer and a depressed feeling on D1 bad times. As for D2 compared to D1, the great things in D2 do not give me the same great buzz, all I can say really....
-
Day 1 vet here. I no-lifed d1. I enjoy d2, I'm just not going to lose sleep over it
-
7 RisposteChristmas noob here! Man, i remember a time when the game had like 15 exotics and they were rare af. Bungie wasn't giving out free ones like devil's ruin. Wtf happened? How did we get to this point?
