Give Black Armory the Reckoning treatment.
So who else can agree Bungie should give BA the Reckoning treatment? If you do not know what I am talking about TL;DR is few patches ago Bungie drastically increased the drop rate of Reckoning (Gambit Prime) weapons because players gave "feedback" on how they would spend hours on hours doing reckoning to get nothing. Think it is about time BA got the same treatment to be some what relevant again.
EDIT: I am not talking about the powerful frames but the Y1 weapons that got random rolls in BA such as Dead Man Walking sidearm or Show of Force sniper rifle.

1 RispondiBack when Jotunn dropped from Bergusia I got at least 5-6, and I didn't start doing the Bergusia forge until like the middle of Jokers Wild. Got Le Monarque probably 10 times between izanami and Bergusia. I didn't get the Bad News prototype version until like the second to last week of Season of Undying (funnily enough about a half hour after complaining to a friend that it was the only one i needed) from a Forge Saboteur. I killed them whenever they spawned and I spent a lot of time in Artifacts Edge on Nessus. The drop rates for those weapons are terrible.

Been trying to run reckoning tier 3 today, matchmaking. 5 plus runs and not a single clear. Those sword knights are far too punishing with exploding thrall to finish you off plus super regeneration is now so slow if you don't have it after the bridge you may never get it in time for the Knights. All I want is some 2.0 collector legs to finish my gambit 2.0 armor set on my titan. It was always semi tough but on knight weeks it's just crazy difficult and frustrating now from my experience today.

Killing forge saboteurs should have the same drop rate as the vex gate lords did last season for these weapons

Note this is [i]still[/i] going on after a supposed fix in December. Further, if this is an arbitrary choice, wording of these quests should reflect it instead of blindly trying the trial and error approach to something already time-gated. Particularly if the La Monarque should be bow missions of which Bow forge missions don't count.

5 RisposteKill the saboteurs in the open world. You can find them in: EDZ. Outskirts-a saboteur servitor will spawn. The gulch-a cabal centurion saboteur will spawn. NESSUS. Artifacts edge-a Minotaur saboteur will spawn. The hollows-a cabal centurion saboteur will spawn. Forge saboteurs can drop the black armory prototype weapons (year 1 weapons modified with black armory technology). These weapons can have the refurbished black armory shader on them. Forge saboteurs also drop a small amount of planetary materials. Personally I have never used these weapons because during season 5 there was much better weapons like the hammerhead (which is still a good weapon). I personally love the menagerie weapons those are my favorite.

The material that you can exchange so you can get the armor drop; never understood why there isn't a weapon equivalent for the prototype weapons. Or, even better, just add bounties. Been trying to get the Grenade launcher with spike nades, as its the only 150RPM arc GL in the game currently.

1 RispondiI just read the title and instantly in my mind said nope, no, no thank you, don't do it bungie. Black armory is a tiny step in the right direction. But nope not a tiny step. It's a half assed approach in the whole horde mode direction. (Stop c censoring me!)

Bungie replied and feedback was passed along, but that's the last anyone heard of it. Honestly, no matter the activity, there needs to be drop protection. Players getting nothing makes them not want to play a looter shooter.

Doesn’t help that swift ride has like 9 possible perks in the last two columns. Firmly planted hipefire grip. Total godroll

Agreed. I really like some of those weapons but they are not realistic to farm a roll you actually want.

The Forges are being played at around 5% and I suspect it’s only that high just because people AFK farm for the dawning essence. So clearly Bungie’s tactic of not rewarding people enough to incentivize them to play more isn’t working very well. The seasonal activity is already at a 2% play rate and that has brand new weapons in it. Bungie seriously need to rethink the lack of reward in this game because people are just quitting, not grinding harder. There’s no reason at least every other cookie you baked and turned in to someone couldn’t have given you one of the weapons for Dawning. I could easily go 7-8 turn ins without a weapon. Both weapons are subpar and they each have only one good roll on them. If someone asked me to describe what depression feels like, I’d just say Destiny 2.

4 RisposteAfter all this time, I still haven't gotten the refurbished black armory shader to drop. I've dismantled upwards of 2000 random drops from forges, and it's the only thing I still need for the collections badge.

Yes! The side arm is my favorite gun in the game but I have only ever gotten one very average roll. I’ve done more forges than I can count and have never seen it drop again!

they have a decent droprate when doing the forges they need to buff the droprate from the forge saboteurs though.

I know, right? I actually had more Black Armory frame weapons at one point than I did of the Y1 reskins, and I was actively looking for Swift Ride XE8375 rolls, ever since I fell in love with the first one I got which has Firmly Planted and Headseeker (which I still use, and is the only gun I have that I use so much I have 4.5k+ kills on). I think I have a bunch of them in the Vault now, just because I was farming Black Armory for a while so I could get the mods, but for a while, I literally only had one Swift Ride XE8375 and was always wondering when the next one was going to drop, if ever. :P Also, Bungie need to add bots into a lot of activities including Black Armory, because sometimes it's really annoying to keep ending up in game after game of just being the only player in there.
