You morons.
You single handedly took a game mode, one that already had tremendous amounts of gameplay issues, and found a way to make it worse.
Control, the mode where teams are supposed to attempt to take and hold objectives, has turned into a mess of a game mode, where everyone plays on heavy and doesn’t play the objective of the game, all because someone, somewhere in your design team decided that making a quest objective where thousands of people need to get rocket kills, and let me stress, not heavy, rocket kills, wouldn’t at all affect the gameplay of Iron Banner.
Is there anyone in that team of yours that has a sliver of forethought, the tiniest bit of experience developing meaningful quests that are engaging in the mode, rather than this abomination that you call a quest?
Is there a point to saying you are ashamed? No, there isn’t, what am I to expect from a company that alienates their player base, claims to listen, then directly and so frequently disrespects the very requests for “feedback” they hypocritically ask for.
You fall nothing short of a company that fails to make an impact, and in a few years, when an actual company comes around, one that listens, and develops a game to engage the players to enjoy the game, you sit in your studio, wondering, ever the fools, as to why your game failed, why it diminished, and why it will yield but not even a stain on the history of gaming, except to be used as an example as to what not to do.
Is this a lot for the sake of an Iron Banner quest, certainly, but is this quest not the straw that broke the metaphorical camel’s back? Absolutely.
Disgusting, terrible and just plain disrespectful. You listen about as well as an abusive spouse, who zoned out as their “significant other” pleads for them to change.
Sure, you can’t please everyone, but you are barely pleasing anyone.

Modificato da mxgreg: 12/26/2019 8:26:20 PMAlso, some matches are not counting progress bounties. What a bummer....

Shit is absolutely -blam!-ing ridiculous. I'm honestly at the point where I'm about to say -blam!- finishing this bullshit and -blam!- the waste of money that is this seasons pass. Bungie is bullshit as of late and completelyn-blam!-ing stupid quests like this for gear that nobody even -blam!-ing wants is getting tiring. I use to love this game but at this point it's ridiculous time consumption quests so they can pad their numbers. Luke Smith has ruined this game. I'm ready to see that fat sack of shit run from the angry mob when the employees cant afford to live after everyone leaves the steaming pile of shit that he has steered the game towards.

Modificato da nonchalantone: 12/26/2019 10:14:05 PMAs long as the newer playerbase keeps growing, they will keep shoveling out the same old shit. Period. They are counting on the newer players saying "ooh, this is NEW"! As opposed to the vets saying "more recycled shit, again "? Its shameful how greedy and neglectful they have become when it comes to Destiny lately.
-
It looks like Bungie does these things on purpose. The next Iron Banner it will be like before and nobody will complain any more :)

Modificato da Thorium: 12/26/2019 5:59:33 PMWell written, and crucial tertiary facts, but misses the root cause: Bungie, ever since deciding to oust The Taken King pinnacle programmers/devs, has chosen good ole American Greed as its root, driving force. They learned from Activision that targeting 12 year olds (and the equitable, underdeveloped mindsets embarrassingly called 'adults') into bipolar swings (a la massive buffs and nerfs, etc..), keeps them addicted and paying more and more. So they now purposefully code destabilizing patterns into the game, to continue to bank. If they brought back TTK geniuses, supported gaming addiction charities, and upgraded to dedicated servers around the world; they would have a better trajectory for the gaming community. But don't hold your breath.

Incompetent art design, character creation, character builds, shooter looter concept thrown out the window, quests design and new enemies that will never exist because they have no creativity left because they have shown it so far, armor design and locked elemental status. You start to feel like you have no freedom, female character design, my character is flat as a board and has no thickness and curves but screw that woke realism in a sci fy fantasy game is better (sarcasm). Luke smith is the worst leader in gaming history.

4 RisposteNot to mention the PVE quest of this season has a PVP step. As if they didnt force enough BS upon the pvp players, they want us PVE solos to hate them too. What a load of absolute garbage
-
Epic has done amazing things in regards to listening to its community. Bungie all ready copied the battle pass why not copy Epic just a little further.
-
Thank you for writing this! It's everything I wanted to tell them, but my language barrier won't allow it.
-
Now tell me what you really think

Harsh response... 100% Correct though

Crucible makes this game seem like a defective product

3 RisposteI jumped in for 2 games this morning. It's as bad as people say. It's not even the quest. It's the people not showing up on radar and not taking damage. It's the fact that it's still Control and Control IB is stale as F. It's the stupid close range maps where everyone is in the smallest area possible. It's getting killed by a warlock floofing through the air like a fool because he knows he isn't taking damage. It's the fact that they've destroyed the hard cap grind with this new artifact/ 10 point system that makes it not worth reaching 970 because you know next season will erase your progress. Bungie literally broke the game in Shadowkeep as badly as they broke it at launch and the playerbase numbers are so low the matches aren't full and are too far apart. The little they did to improve pvp(solo mm, etc) is offset by the slew of bad decisions. Reset the game to where it was Y2. It was annoying in it's own way but was at least playable.

4 RisposteWe are Bungie and we dont give a -blam!- as long as you pay for our content.
-
It is obvious that no one at bungie gives a crap about destiny anymore. Kinda makes you wonder why they even bother.
-
2 Rispostenormally I am a big fan of Iron Banner, but why in God's name would you make rocket launcher kills a requirement to get the quest done? most embicilic move ever. make me use fusions, fine. make me use hand cannons, fine. make me use grenades, for god's sake, fine. but to make a quest step completion rely on heavy ammo in a game mode that requires an objective? stupid, stupid move.
-
5 RisposteI use Warcliff in the final step it doesn't even count towards it. What a rip off
-
4 RisposteModificato da Klaus_Reaper (Adept): 12/26/2019 6:28:46 PMNo. the big problem is scouts all over again, countless of coward hunters crouched camping with Jade, randy, mida...etc. all over agaibn people camping with scouts. Then these guys get pissed with bungie when they nerf these guns. IRON SCOUT CAMPING BANNER
-
1 RispondiWhich quest objective requires crucible rocket kills again? I can't remember tbh....
-
I haven't played IB for so many seasons, I've forgotten when last I played.
-
Actually didn't find this IB too bad, loved the fact there was a Scout step as I main one, I don't generally use Shotguns or HC, yet it took me only 3/4 matches with each, Rocket launchers wasn't difficult and the only reason you're noticing folk camping heavy is because of the quest step, when in fact IB is almost always like that anyway. 1 rocket can easily get you 3+ kills, especially if you don't use it in panic and wait to catch a group trying to cap a zone or camp heavy. If you think this is bad, wait till next season when it'll likely be get 10+ lmg kills.
-
it is just a heavy control mode, how about leting peolpe play how they want for a change huh?
-
6 RisposteShotgun quest is a nightmare for me. I hate using shotguns and don't even have a decent one, taking forever
-
Modificato da Section Ratio General: 12/26/2019 6:23:48 PMA simple change they could do to make the game a lot better is to follow what a good chunk of the vocal community on their own website asks for: Rework the quests for IB to be more Control focused rather than Rumble/Elimination focused. If Bungie wants to make IB quests Rumble/Elimination focused, they should add in Rumble and Elimination and ditch Control to the IB playlist. It seems pretty backwards to me that they would put so much emphasis on specific weapon kills while using Control as their game mode. It makes very little sense to me. I'd like to hear the thinking behind the way the quest's path was made from a Bungie employee. Coming from an average player, the quest to unlock the ability to turn in IB coins seems like a long slog of relatively useless "kill with this weapon" steps. People go into IB with a build they already like, why force them to play with a build they probably won't like?

Modificato da Droxxie: 12/26/2019 4:36:28 PMthis quest step makes me sad. i was all time loving the game until i got to this moment. and realized how hard heavy contesting was. i should never have to ask my friends to ignore objectives and go for heavy. this is the moment that killed the game for me. and i was spending money on this game. probably wont anymore after this. my enjoyment reached it's pinnacle here. so as a person with a lot of people who play the same game i do, good job. you're probably losing a few players. and from the sounds of it. even more. i dont appreciate what the person who did this did. it's not fun. it physically hurts to do. and as a person with current mental health strugglings...puts me in a low state. please make a change bungie. please change it for the good of your game and it's players. please.

This is Activision fault!😉
