This needs to be looked at. Crucible has no incentive now, especially with the removal of pinnacle weapons, which I don't think Bungie even began to ask the community about.

Pinnacle weapons are part of the problem. The no skill guns are the problem. Mountaintop and recluse for example, both skilless guns but are top tier.

Luna's, NF, Redrix, Mountaintop, Revoker, and Recluse can still be obtained today, but new Pinnacles are being replaced by Ritual weapons. The primary difference is that this season's crucible prize weapon (Randy's) is not locked behind a rank wall that many have difficulty climbing.

8 RisposteThe casuals hated pinnacle weapons because “it was too hard” to get LH, recluse, mountaintop, and the revoker. They also watered down comp. Before I knew that I had to be on my A game when I played comp, but now it doesn’t matter if I lose. That’s why I don’t play that much PVP anymore.

At the end of the day, getting rid of 3v3 Elim trials was a huge mistake.....just my opinion...

Tbh i don’t think this games pvp will ever be balanced . Weapons with random rolls . And subclasses with crazy perks . Exotics with crazy perks . It’s just never going to be balanced . You either abuse the over powered cheese or get whooped . Reason I stopped playing this game . It’s never going to have a balanced pvp

2 RisposteModificato da Spooky_Ari: 11/13/2019 12:14:43 AMCrucible is a side activity. Crucible is also a necessary activity. Crucible is also the place to get way above average weapons, at a difficulty setting due to "Competitive", however there is no such thing as competitive in this game. It can't be done properly, hence why the name "competitive" was removed and replaced with just the game mode Survival that awards Glory. The state of Crucible, when Pinnacle weapons existed, was pretty much once you had the Pinnacle weapon you acted as a gatekeeper preventing other players from having the same journey you had, without the troubles of facing the Pinnacle weapon. This was the problem. The players you're playing against, the Glory loss system, the wonky p2p connections and the prestige of the effectiveness of the weapons all played apart in Conpetitive's downfall. It was never the communities decision to make. It was an experiment that failed, and now we have Ritual weapons. What would you suggest you be the necessary course of action from here, now that Pinnacles are no longer a thing that can return?

2 RisposteYou are right, and so is aztecross, crucible needs more incentive, but I think the removal of pinnacles was a good decision. Pretty much every time one came out, people complained about how bs they were. And, frankly, Randy's is actually pretty good, being able to achieve kill times comparable to the last word's headshot ttk.

1 RispondiCrucible has been dumbed down to nothing just like everything else these days due to non stop complaining and whining. The challenge of crucible pinicles that required atleast fabled was a totally awesome challenge. Now they're like everything else which is just a time input reward. Totally sucks

1 RispondiI called it when they announced New Light was coming coupled with the lack of anything new for PvP over the entire year of Forsaken -- PvP was going to be a place turned into something for PvE players. The Comp list was made stupid easy. They have been adding modes like Momentum that are geared towards fun. All the others playlists minus Classic have SBMM. They basically left hardcore PvP players with the terrible Classic Mix. They took away pinnacles. Resets award nothing. Legend gives you nothing. It's basically a place for PvE players to go grab MT and Recluse and then wait until IB rolls around for some pinnacle gear and enhanced perks. Bungie didn't straight up remove PvP, but they honestly sort of did in a way.

Pinnacle weapons should of never been a thing.
