Clearly you don't actually want players to play your content. Why waste my time using an LFG? Umm...LITERALLY just let me match make for 950's. Let ME decide if the lack of communication is an issue and run off to find a team if I feel the need. Stop telling me, "No go make some friends" when matching with players WOULD MAKE ME SOME **** FRIENDS.
You.
Godd**n.
Idiots.
Edit: A lot of people are saying "tHeY cAn'T aDd MaTcHmAkInG bEcAuSe Of MoDiFiErS aNd EqUipMeNt LoCkS!" They can add a requirement to have two different kinds of weapon mods before you're allowed to launch. I thought this would be common sense.
Yet another Edit: Bungie's reply is basically: We don't trust players and don't think they will be able complete 950 Nightfalls because alot of you suck at communicating and have no thumbs and we won't give you a chance to prove otherwise by atleast temporarily adding matchmaking and collecting completion statistics.

2 Risposte"The end game is friendship" -DeeJay But yeah I feel you, completely worthless to lock out game modes like this.
-
19 RisposteWarframe has matchmaking for everything except some solo battles or unique quest story missions, but you can choose to be public, friends only, invite only, or solo in matchmaking, its worked for them since 2013.
-
Someone’s clearly never done a 950 nightfall. I haven’t either, but gameplay tells me exactly what I need to know about it.
-
19 RisposteNo matchmaking on raids I totally get but nightfalls? I have never ever needed a hard core player by my side to communicate with. Nightfalls are just higher difficulty strikes, it makes no sense to not have matchmaking. If some players want to solo it then give players an option to matchmake or not
-
dont forget, we want something to be able to do solo.
-
25 RisposteSame reason you can't matchmake raids or heroic dungeons. There is too much coordination required to match up with randoms who might or might not want to communicate. Matchmake at the lower difficulties, make some friends, then work with them on the higher difficulties.
-
1 RispondiYea... You seem like U would be real pleasant to play with lol
-
Probably the same reason we couldn't before.
-
I miss when satire was more common in the forums
-
Because finding out all of you have nothing but Anti-Barrier equipped would be SOOOOO much fun.
For the record (whatever "the record" is)... I'm not opposed to having optional mm for it, but I do see where it would cause issues (and a lot of forum entertainment). :)
-
It's already terrible enough at 920 with randoms that only know how to shotgun rush Yellow bars and don't know how to use artifact mods, and you think they will do any better at 950??? I've heard some bad suggestions, but this one probably takes the #1 spot.
-
um. the only godd**n idiots are the ones that can't go spend 2 minutes to find 2 other players to play the content. If you can't put time into that, don't -blam!- that bungie won't put the time in to find you a friend either.
-
3 RisposteHighly doubt that would be good for anyone given that most of the randos don't use proper mod to deal with certain enemies...
-
The fact that we got mm in nightfall after all these years is a miracle in itself. Be happy and shut up
-
l wouldn't mind it if most people knew which mods to chuck on I've done a few 920 MM nf's only to find myself being the only person running barrier or unstoppable mods
-
Too much logic.

Disagree, however, there can be improvements. First, let's start with raids and dungeons because a lot of comments reference those. Those fall into a different category entirely as they have more difficult mechanics in addition to checkpoints. For those types of activities, you need a clearly defined fireteam leader for checkpoints, meaning no matchmaking. Nightfalls fall into a different category as the mechanics are much more straight forward and there are no checkpoints, however, the difficulty level of Legend and Master are significantly higher for the average player. Look at videos online of well coordinated teams taking up to an hour on even the Legend nightfall. That's a coordinated team with communication. Allowing LFG for these types of activities sets a team up for failure. Bungie knows that setting up random teams would lead to a negative experience in these high level activities. How do we improve. Really, the biggest thing that can be improved is in-game LFG capability, similar to Guided Games, but not requiring a fireteam of 2 before starting. This would give players the ability to set up their own teams based on some simple form of requirements, maybe something like "LF2M, 1 titan, 1 warlock, 940+". I'm all for better LFG methods, but certain activities should definitely have matchmaking OFF.
-
5 RisposteOther than Raids and Dungeons, there is no reason to not have *OPTIONAL matchmaking on any activity in the game. *This is the key word! It must be a choice, people should be able to go in solo too.
-
Probably because your team needs to coordinate champion mods.
-
I reading here from some posts that it needs coordination. What kind of coordination? Kill stuff. Break barriers. Distrupt champions, stun unstoppables. The rest is just the strike. One man can do all the champions then the other 2 just burst them. Ppl just overthink/overcomplicate everything. The only thing that MM needs a pwlvl barrier like 945 + . In the 920 NF I do the same with randoms. But noooooooooo optional matchmaking will kill the game, same thing said about WoW back in Cata when they added LFR. Elitists was freaked out because noobs can do the raids too in matchmaking. It was dumbed down, loot was lower item level still players learned some of the mechanics/tactics. And you know what happened? Noobs with problems(social anxiety, no friends etc) got into raiding. They liked LFR and they wanted better loot so they joined guilds and raiding become more widespread. More ppl raiding in wow since Cata then before it. The biggest problem always the Elitism.

It hardly works at 920. I’ve run a good handful at 920 and most cats I run into are underleveled and clearly have no idea how to handle a NF. They stay out in the open and die repeatedly.
-
The only activities that shouldn't be matcmade are reaidds because of the actual communication requirement. Hunts/Nightfalls don't require communication as I can simply just LOOK at what my teammates are using as a loadout and adjust. Bring in matchmaking for these activities and you will see more people willing to try the end game activities.
-
It should be there. If anybody in here is saying that it is somehow way more difficult at 950 than it is at 920, they are the blueberries. Put a 935-940+ level requirement, that’s all.
-
I agree. I’ve never once told my teammate during a nightfall, “you flank right, the other guy flank left, I will distract the enemies. Remember, we meet back in 1 min. If you die, walk it off.” In destiny, you can’t distract enemies because the enemy AI don’t work like that. Majority of nightfalls, almost every player just bum rush through it.
-
Don’t agree with this. Just like you can’t match make for raids, you shouldn’t be able to match make for nightfalls
