I finally did it, I solo queued to fabled after multiple failed attempts in previous seasons. Felt great.
Then I thought maybe I could wait for my friends to reach fabled and we could go for legend and get not forgotten. So I hopped in classic mix while I waited for them to get to into comp and quickly realized it was only for sweaty fireteams who enjoy non-sbmm playlists. I hopped back into solo comp bc it was far more enjoyable. Soon I was on a 6 game win streak before Igot off, then a 9 game win streak the next day before I matched a a player w a significantly lower comp score and I knew he had to be good for us to match, his team had the skill and his leadership and my teammates couldn't hang no offense to them. Soon after the other guy messaged me and we got along and reached fabled quick after 2 or 3 games and hopped back into solo queue. I had an amazing time clutching games and winning rounds with great plays. The last two matches were funny, the first team was obliterated so bad two of them left before the first round ended and other left soon after, the second was great bc every round was close up to the end though we won every round. Though I had a great time, there was still a lot of camping, one shot ability and weapon use, and cheesy tactics used but it made getting the victory over those individuals even more enjoyable. I improved greatly over the seasons and I'm happy that bungie fixed plenty of issues and made this season more accessible to those w/out a ton of time or comp friends.
TLDR: I got to legend for the first time
Did it solo
Enjoyed mostly all of it
Did over the course of 4 days
Used a lot of different weapons from 0-2600, then stopped and played menagerie a few times to get a good dust rock bc I was never a shotgun user and soon after mained dust rock, graviton lance
I had a great time, thanks bungo

Comp is just QP. It with 3v3 it’s a joke. And it means nothing
-
I finally hit legend all though it was with a team i got it finally. Congrats Guardian
Beware Toxic Scum
Thats cool. i can't seem to get passed 4500. Trying to carry 2 potatoes at that rank can be so frustrating. I've gone from 4500 to 3900 about 3 times now and it's pretty exhausting. Not to mention all the quiters. So many 2v3 cause it either starts that way or someone quits. Had one 1v3 today and if it wasn't for heavy ammo every blink of an eye i would have won...thanks bungie. Congrats though.
-
Congrats man. You've earned it :)

10 RisposteSolo comp is a great add to the game.

2 RisposteWhy is this downvoted people in this community are pure scum. Congrats that’s awesome dude

Modificato da Hexxinq: 10/18/2019 5:27:13 AMDid the same but only to Fabled 3/Mythic so far... Let's just say good teammates after that is scarce. Last game I played, had nearly double the amount of kills my two teammates had combined, I believe, dont quite remember, but it was close. Even got my Revoker and MT (finally) soloing comp

4 RisposteI hate comp and I'm not great at survival style play. Especially when things get sweaty and I hate using meta. But anyways, I went 10 for 14 and hit 2084. Let the bonus kick in and fabled. Played one more match because I didn't realize the wins for recluse could be IB as well, hit fabled 2 and sitting on a 5 streak. I figured I got the rank, might as well get mountaintop while I have it. So I won't be back in comp any time soon (except to finish up revoker, when I finally get around to it) If it looks like 5500 is a real possibility and not a pain, I might for the mida catalyst. But I doubt it very seriously. Anyways, all that jibber-jabber to basically say Bungie made 2100 accessible to I would guess at least 60-70% of the player base if they're willing to jump in there. Which is probably fair, considering the current raid meta seems to have recluse in it.

26 RisposteWilling to believe you but the last 5 matches you are matched up with the same 2 other players. Explain how that is solo?
-
2 RisposteI've been playing solo comp almost exclusively since shadowkeep dropped. It is difficult for me. I am not a top tier player , PvP or PvE. However, it's been the easiest season to gain points. I almost hit 5500 but fell short at 5416 and went on a losing streak all the way down to around 4800. I've gained a little ground back and I'm currently around 5100.
-
Well i started playing comp freelance as well. Out of first 4 games twice I only had one other player on my team. We did win 1 of those. Anyway I usually do ok but I see no way I could get to 2100. So far have gone 5-1 but I Am sure that will change quickly. Should I keep going? I do fine in quickplay now that I have decent gear. Last year I was way underpowered and it was tough since I didn't have forsaken dlc. Still haven't bought any dlc after warmind. Matybe I will try but chances are teammates who lol drop out like in past years. Its tough going 3 against 2.

Nice, good for you. You can get a pat on the back. I don't know how skilled you are, but thank you for giving it a try and not being one of those people who play one match, lose or cause the team to lose, and blame Bungie for it solely.
-
Same only lost 2 because of potato teammates with 0 kills...
-
6 RisposteIt was easier than getting to fabled last season. I think the matchmaking system for freelance is broken because I was matching against 1400 glory ppl when I was at 5400
-
1 RispondiYou're not alone there. I obtained Luna's Howl just yesterday completely solo. Took forever.
-
I was at 5450 and my game crashed when i got shot, and i was unable to reconnect. Felt like shit.

Modificato da Legionaire161: 10/17/2019 6:49:19 PMI always avoided comp, because ive never been that good at crucible, but i figured, heck, i'll give it a go, and try to get recluse. Took me less than a day to reach fabled. I did go on a losing streak or 2, but i bounced back and got the gun. Oddly, enough, i actually played better than i'm used to. For some reason, ive been doing better in comp and IB, than i do in quickplay. Not sure why.....i've also been going in solo
-
I also went the solo route since assembling teams during non-work hours is a pain. I previously grinded out Redrix 3 seasons ago (its crucible counter just passed 2k), but in a space of 2 nights, I went from zero glory to 2100+ for Revoker and Recluse. Luna's followed shortly after that one. Now I'm sitting in the 4400's.. made it past 4600 a few times, only to get paired with potatoes or matched against bot-like snipers in Widow's Court lol.
-
4 RisposteI’m jealous cause I tried the solo que and I keep getting matched with garbage team mates, tried the fireteam matchmaking comp and had a little more success because I would at least be teamed up with a fireteam or 2 who actually were trying....or maybe your just way better than me 🤷🏼♂️
-
It’s good to see posts like this! I’m attempting the same feat now myself and have experienced the same joy and experiences. I really have enjoyed the freelance playlist thus far.
-
Congrats!!!....I started last season and got Luna's, Recluse and redrix's broadsword, started at the beginning of Shadowkeep and started working on Revoker, Mountaintop and Not Forgotten, got Not Forgotten the other night and am almost finished Revoker and the Mountaintop. I am really enjoying Comp so far, most fun I've had in crucible in a while.
-
1 Rispondialmost 4000 but im taking a break after the lunas headshot grind managed to get revoker and recluse as well happy days now i just need to finish the luna kills part of the not forgotten quest and of course reach legend rank
-
Modificato da nico: 10/17/2019 10:15:40 AMAnd as always it is the small things that matter: to have good games it is better to play when most of the sweaties are not online aka never play the weekends and the nights. It is manageable in the working/school hours of the week. The last season i got to Legend but this season it is really annoying since my free time is mostly the weekends and i still struggle around 4000...
-
congrats. I just wish i could play comp in the solo playlist and not get matched up against level 4000 glory players or more. Especially while sitting at 600 total glory. Yeah, comp is real fun, for sure.
-
I think I can go high in comp if I use a shotgun but I hate to use it unless it's a bounty. I don't want to join the dark side.
-
nice, I decided to go for recluse this season. got a win streak that took me from 0 to fabled 2 in one day.
