Shadowkeep should have been $15
It's just a refreshed destination with 3 missions, some old boss fights, and way too much grind. Forsaken was overpriced too, but at least that dlc added content! 9 new trees for your subclasses, TWO brand new destinations with NEW public events, new game mode, much longer story, way more everything...
The focus for shadowkeep is clearly designed around Eververse and the grind, new light and Steam.
So far, I much preferred when Activision was around.

12 RisposteI am just confused, because everything that they said we would have, we have gotten. Soooo if you didn’t want to buy the dlc, that’s fine, but I knew what i was getting and was happy paying the money for it. I really like the state of all games modes.

1 RispondiI wouldn’t say forsaken was over priced, there was a lot there. But yeah, I can’t help but be disappointed by this dlc. No vendor refreshes, no pinnacles, reskinned raid armor, a lot of reskins and reused bosses and assets in general, hardly any new loot to go after (seriously, we really need a vendor refresh and factions back), still no trials, and even more of a material grind now. Yeah...

4 RisposteApple products are WAY overprized, people still buying that shitty phone. I guess 50% of the people, complaining about Destiny content own an iblown. Leave Destiny alone, it´s in a better state than pre Activision and it´s only the beginning of a Bungie only era. The core Destiny players have learned to being patient - I suggest you give it a try and who knows what´s next. Bungie said the "world" will evolve so let us give'em a shot. I enjoy it and the improvements. You can't say they didn't react to feedback in most cases. peace

24 RisposteI just don’t understand why people get so upset about $15-35. That’s 1-2 hours of work in most cases. I work in Finance and if you told me you were worried about even dropping $35 out of your wallet would significantly change your life, I’d say we’d have some serious stuff to talk about. Also, I’d bet the same $35 and any future expansion cost that if you met Luke Smith in person, you wouldn’t say anything.

I do like Shadowkeep so far, though I agree. But give it a year, it'll be free to help promote whatever reskinned thing they're selling then. Almost exactly like the first two DLC's are free now, to promote the moon we've been to before, and bosses we've already killed. That sounded way saltier then intended, but it's not incorrect. But to be fair, Activision was the profit-focused company (allegedly.) They pushed free events and expansions where we'd have to pay real money for cosmetics. Bungie needs to push the paid expansions and season passes to stay in the green and pay their employees (again, allegedly.) Which isn't all that different when you boil it down so... six of one, half dozen of the other?

You realize its been a week, and there is much more content on the way that's just spread out to make it last longer, if they gave you all the quests, raids, and challenges then you would play everything for a week and then complain that its all old and you want new stuff.

2 Rispostethe amount of improvements that came to the game with this dlc is awesome solo queue in comp is real fun! forges are accessible from orbit! nightfalls have meaningful rewards! pve in general is not piss-easy anymore! then the artifact, armor 2.0, etc etc sure for most of this you dont need to own shadowkeep, but everyone wants to have the new weapons. i would have gladly paid the 35€ for all the improvments, didnt even need a new destination. and millions of idiots buy a new call of duty every year from activision for 70€.

You know what this reminds me of, when rise of iron first released. The only difference is that there’s more in shadowkeep and more to come🤷🏻♂️.

you're missing a large chunk of content, ranging from the season pass + vex offensive, to the raid and dungeon, to the new strikes and exotic quests. The power grind and exotic quests so far feel pretty light on grind too compared to past seasons. everyone has a different valuation of content and that's fair. Just making sure you're basing your decision on the full breadth of content.

I really love pve content but the most important thing to me is story. Shadowkeep was something I waited for reviews before considering buying and I’m glad I did, as I would of been very dissatisfied with that purchase. This is my opinion as the dlc offered very little in story (less than an hour of dialogue and less than 6minutes of cutscenes), and yes I see this as DLC not an expansion. Forsaken was an expansion I enjoyed even after waiting a month for reviews and friends feedback. For me personally shadowkeep is not worth my money or time so I’ll not get it and stick to playing what I’ve already purchased and enjoy that.

I love Destiny, when i say Destiny i mean the story, the lore, the world of this mess of a game, but if things are going to be like this dlc/season pass it will be my last purchase from this franchise. (before someone says "see you on next dlc" check my history, i was not happy with the game and completely ignored season 5 and 6) Tbh i kinda regret that i pre-ordered the deluxe edition of Shadowkeep, i got hyped and when i saw "Moon" + "Hive" + "Darkness" i thought we were getting great campaign content. The fact that they threw a couple of story missions for a dlc that should be bigger or at least at the same size of Forsaken just... its a shame. I was hoping to waste a full day doing story missions and learn more about the hive and darkness, instead i did the campaign on my titan, got him to 900, got my warlock and hunter to 900 aswell and after i finished my titan's powerful loot drops instead going to my warlock and starting to work on getting that power up i signed off and went to play The Last of Us. I have been so focused on Destiny that all games i play beside this one are the ones from PS+ I rarely bought a new game since D2 came out, but now... im considering it... there's alot of great games out there that i missed while i was blinded by Destiny. But lets see what will bungie do... maybe they will surprise us, there's nothing to lose now since i already got the season pass...
