Riven is extremely close to the top, but for me at least Kings Fall is one of the best. VoG was good when it was only that and Crotas End out, but now I feel as if people say its the best because of the feels they get.

They were all unique and need to be the basic foundation of the new raids.
-
Maybe but VOG was by far one of the coolest video game experiences ever for me. Vog is the winner for me, ill even take wrath of the machine too.
-
Can't change your mind, as you'll have confirmation bias. That said - was it visually stunning - hell yes. But hands down my least favourite raid. Its the one that started the whole "oh one of us died, lets just wipe" bs.
-
Why would I change your mind if you're correct.

2 RisposteModificato da PapaSohan: 9/23/2019 12:21:21 PMKing's Fall is a top ten best ever raid in Destiny, hands down. Honestly, though, Crota's End was very nearly a perfect raid. If you ignore the terrible glitching (especially with Crota getting up and killing people after he was downed), and the incredible amount of cheesability, CE was the best. Both of those things could/should have been fixed. Each encounter had the perfect amount of necessary team work and clutch potential, and there were a total of zero pure DPS checks. Lanterns was an amazingly unique encounter, the bridge was a new twist on a classic encounter type, deathsinger was an exhilarating race against the clock, and Crota was the perfect final boss type. If Bungie designed more raids like this, they wouldn't need to nerf Well. Alas, it seems all they know how to design nowadays are bullet sponge bosses which make Well so powerful. Edit: Even exploder thrall hall was extremely fun and getting the chest for flying through it at the end was a nice little bonus. The only thing missing from CE, for me, was a nice jumping puzzle.
-
Definitely my favourite but if there was auto clambering it would be even better.
-
2 RisposteVoG and Crota were "pure" raids, DPS checks and hero moments. Sadly they are gone forever. Go collect motes in a preparation for the new "raid".
-
Yuk. No, wasnt a fan of Kings Fall. WoTM was fun and the loot drops(weapons and armor) were better.
-
Change yer pants.

3 RisposteAs long as we're all in agreement that Spire is the worst Raid related activity.
-
WOTM for me - watching ppl try to do the challenge mode was fun. All u have to do is turn around and hit ur plate or land on the massive scorpion looking thing in front of u. Oh the memories
-
Nothing tops that first experience of doing vault of glass blind. That was amazing . But your right Kings fall was a well constructed raid and it’s scale and scope made It the best of the d1.

1 RispondiModificato da BC1 Edge: 9/23/2019 9:32:25 AMKings fall, vault and WOTM were my favourites - the raid, the armour, the weapons, the exotics for those three raids were awesome! Raids in D2 (some of which could be called six man strikes) are boring.
-
hahahaha no, standing infront of the boss 90% of the time is not "the best raid"

1 RispondiModificato da CWilliams983: 9/23/2019 7:07:40 AMKing’s Fall is definitely top 2 for me, along with WoTM. Wrath takes the edge since we actually used our weapons to damage Aksis, unlike Oryx where the bombs did all damage.I think KF seemed so much better for me since it was the only one I attempted the first week it released. Couldn’t get past the giant ogre. I haven’t done the last 2 raids, but I am trying to think of any full raid that doesn’t have at least 1 glitch/cheese? VoG- push Atheon off map, sit up top and shoot oracles with IB. Crota- The Bridge KF- I think there was a cheese for totems but it seemed more complicated than doing it legit. WoTM- ???? SoTP- Gauntlet cheese EoW/Spire- only one real “boss” encounter so I don’t count those as raids. Last Wish- Riven (not gonna argue about whether the cluster bomb/rat king/GL strat is a cheese or not)

Wrath of the machine.
-
I'm personally a WoTM man myself. The music in that final encounter, and the flow of the fight was just perfect to me.

3 RisposteI agree kings fall was the best overall, but Aksis 2nd stage was the best encounter Destiny has ever had.
-
For me kings fall had too many frustrating moments. Missing the spindle proc on the deathsingers because her hand got in the way of her head, teleporting ogre's, trying to explain golgoroth challenge mode to a new team. Too many annoying memories tied to that raid.
-
Change my mind....like anyone gives a flying -blam!-
-
The music was brilliantly fitting for the raid and really set the mood. Riven is the only raid in D2 where I’ve liked the music, but even then it could’ve been better.

I envy the people who did Crotas End, since I was 2 year Vanilla player on D1. Scourge of the Past is very enjoyable. Still Kings Fall from what I saw looks like a classic way of a boss fight, take a boss and multiply his size by 50.
