Happy 5 year anniversary! Apparently vanilla launched today, five years ago. The franchise has had its ups and downs, but I've always been glad to have it as something to fall back on during gaming droughts and other life upending events.
Thank you to the teams that have kept the game alive.
Cheers
edit: we made it to the top of the forum for a little bit :)
Thanks to everyone that commented, told a story, or stopped by to pass the salt

6 Risposte5 years and I’m convinced they’ve learned nothing.

I got married during the time this series has been out. Bungie did not help with that... lol congrats, Bungie.

1 Rispondiit launched on the 14th not the 10th

Destiny seemed like a much larger, more immersive world in the 2014 e3 bit, It actually still does. Every now and then I go back and watch it. The game in the 2014 e3 bit is the game I want to play. Idk if that makes sense..🤷🏻♂️

2 Rispostefreshman back in high school when a couple of my lunch friends told me to check out the game. tho back then i didn’t know what a dlc was so i bought the base game lol didn’t get a chance to do DB or HoW even tho it was HoW that i came into the franchise. and hell here i am still playing Destiny and waiting for shadowkeep while a sophomore in collage lol man does time fly. sadly those friends who got me into the game drifted apart but my real friendships have been the people i have met thru Destiny and my clan. Can’t wait to see more! <3 much love from me to Bungie

Cheers:)

I do hope on their 7th anniversary, they give us an emblem? Cos Bungie know, above ALL else, we love emblems.

51 RisposteModificato da superskybro: 9/10/2019 2:54:01 AMI need shadowkeep man, college just started and I need Destiny to keep me going mentally Edit: you're all ass holes, autocorrect screwed up one letter and apparently my acceptance letter should have been revoked in your eyes.

Modificato da sonicBOOM5431: 9/11/2019 3:12:11 AMWhy is everyone saying it was the 10th. It was definatly the 9th. I remember still being an 8th grader in middle school counting down every hour until my mom picked me up to take my eager self to gamestop and pick it up. Then playing literally as much as I possibly could between me getting home from school and my bedtime every day. Now I'm a high school graduate with my own car and a job and activities and still love playing regularly. Memories man.

You reminded me of youtube with the edit.

Been a hell of a ride, ups and downs. Pleasure being apart of it despite the frustrations. Tips hat to all Guardians.

16 RisposteModificato da Demon_XXVII: 9/10/2019 8:00:58 AMDestiny did indeed release on the 9th Sept 2014 (I was there man 😆 & loved the E3 concept - I saw that mountain, ‘become legend’ was my pathway, 10 year concept/character & Alpha/Beta release) Sadly the concept of Destiny died on Sept 6th 2017 This D2 version is just a Cyborg, a Synthetic, a Replicant....an Exo even An false image of itself but without the heart, desire & soul!

5 RisposteFive years ago, I began my Destiny adventure with my toddler son riding shotgun on my lap. Now he farms materials and bounties for me. His love for art and reading is due in large part to Destiny. Thanks for the memories Bungie. BTW, I have a 2 year old daughter now. She wants to be a servitor for Halloween.

Whoopeedo they went backwards instead of forwards
