So now that they've dramatically nerfed truesight(and screwed up shattering strike in the process)...can we get a redesign on the Wraith subclass? I agree that truesight(outside of the super) was a game breaking advantage at 9 seconds. But 3 seconds is a bit of a joke and NOT worth the potential risk you take while crouching and handicapping yourself to activate it. So let's just trash it and start over.
Start with the melee. This is an assassin subclass.... So why is the melee a smoke grenade that is considerably less useful than the other void hunter trees? It's boring and lacks imagination. Scrap the smoke and give us a backstab melee like bladedancer had in D1. It would finally give us another class with a useful one shot melee and would still take more thought and skill than the OP Titan shoulder charge. It would also encourage the assassin/ambush style gameplay that this subclass's power fantasy is based on.
Flawless execution is a good idea(sans truesight) so lets make it viable while balancing the risk/reward of having to crouch and get a headshot. What if invisibility kept you off enemy radar for the duration (even when jumping/sprinting) of flawless and we got an upgraded radar similar to top tree nightstalker? Keep shattering strike and the extended melee range and increase the duration slightly(maybe 10 seconds). This would still provide a situational awareness advantage without the need for wall hacks. It also preserves the stealth element. Shooting would still take you out of invis. As a bonus...maybe it could also award a full melee charge upon proc? That way you can take advantage of the backstab melee while invis. Alternatively, you could make the shattering strike disorient or suppress enemies in PvP.
Spectral blades is ok as is, but the hit detection needs to be improved dramatically. I regularly tag other players with both the heavy and light attacks in crucible and it's like I never touched them. I get the sound cue but no damage is done. Sometimes this happens 2 or 3 times in a row. That's unacceptable...especially since supers will now be harder to earn. If the goal is to make their use a more calculated decision then they need to reward you when you use them well. Especially when it's so easy to run from spectral already.
I dont know if there is any way to ensure that the community managers see this. But I'm hoping that they do. Comments are welcome. Legitimate discussion is even better.

1 RispondiFlawless Execution as a whole is annoying to trigger. No one opts to crouch because it slows you down significantly and leaves you too open. I believe if you change the mechanics of Flawless Execution then Truesight’s nerf becomes more justified. Just a personal change I would make but if Flawless Execution triggered on ANY precision kill (crouching or not) then those few seconds of Truesight become more powerful than you’d think. I’d also like to suggest allowing Truesight to benefit your team but that sounds more like an exotic perk than a subclass one.

45 RisposteDon’t you guys agree that bungie loves -blam!-ing over hunter users?
-
6 RisposteJust give me D1 blade dancer, backstab, invis, blink, razors edge
-
1 RispondiI like your idea except back stab your gonna run into problems like face stabs or back stabs not actually activating.
-
I wouldn't mind getting backstab back, so long as they fix the hit detection on it. Damn thing used to proc when face to face.
-
2 RisposteYou make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

I feel like WotW needs to boost all ability energy with crouched kills and a flicker of Truesight when dodging.

2 RisposteModificato da Griever: 9/8/2019 8:53:24 AMHere's what I'd do. Change melee to a OHK to the back. Killing a enemies with this will blind nearby enemies and reduce cooldown per enemy. Melee blinded enemies for increased movement speed. Add bonus precision and/ or melee damage for the first shot while Flawless Execution is active. Shattering strike keeps debuff, grants some other player buff along with extended range. Wall hacks range is reduced, but duration increased from 3 to 5 seconds. Increase sprint speed in Spectral Blades (it's ridiculous that spamming RB moves you faster), if an enemy dies to your attack shortly after exiting invisibility, you will for a few seconds be able to proc Shattering strike with a heavy attack, attack is already empowered.

Should've made it 6 seconds. 3 is way too short but 9 is way too long.
-
7 RisposteBe happy your damage resistance is left untouched
-
8 RisposteYou shouldn't even have wall hacks to begin with....shut the hell up..
-
5 RisposteModificato da Elkris Vehrnn: 9/7/2019 6:58:53 AMTrue Sight shouldn't even exist. And you know everyone will speak about all Hunters mains here, right?
-
5 RisposteIf they nerf this and leave OEM as it is...
-
17 Risposte3 seconds is still very strong. 9 seconds was flat out broken. In pve its easy to chain headshots, no issue. In pvp, you got 9 seconds of free kills.
-
Lol at crouching is a disadvantage.
-
2 RisposteYay , 3 seconds of invisibility . You cant even turn the corner in 3 seconds. Not buying shadow keep.
-
Wraith needs a ohk melee instead of a smoke grenade that should be in the grenade slot. I mean titans have a ohk melee with aoe stacked on that’s as or a little bit more powerful than a regular melee. Warlocks have ranged melees with bonuses (even though they need some loving outside of supers) It would help the game by making titans be cautious about just rushing in and shoulder charging each individual player while killing them instantly and getting health back or overshield

I would suggest a quality of life improvement for truesight. Make it so that once stealth triggers, shooting does not break it within the first second.Could help with fast firing weapons when you want to keep stealth after a kill.
-
2 RisposteHonestly this is my opinion. I never thought spectral blades was the best. Its not bad and is still good but I think that bottom tree Arcstrider because it has one of the overall neutral games in the game for pvp. And it allows you to play around the builds with armor and mods like Dragons Shadow(This is the best Exotic Hunter armor) and some paragon mods. I have been having more success with that loadout than any other. Spectral only had flawless execution while the other perks were meh and not really used alot in high comp
-
2 RisposteYou need to learn what game breaking means
-
2 RisposteIf Truesight is going to be this short then it's range should be 40m or more and the targets need to be brighter.
-
6 RisposteSlide shotgun with chaperone to activate truesight doesn’t seem like much of a handicap.
-
The 3 second timer is fine. It makes the perk still good in PVE if you ever want to use it (probs good for soloing certain missions). We'll never get a one hit backstab because its too inconsistent. Lag will mean people get lucky one hit melee kills. It could just do more damage and have a longer lunge range but idk. And I never have problems with hit detection. I used to before they fixed it, like all the time. But I haven't had that problem since Season of the Forge.
-
16 RisposteYea I wouldn’t really say crouching is “risky”. Have you ever heard of chaperone and the slide button?
-
11 RisposteExplain to me how crouching is a handicap. Am I missing something?
-
You could always just use oathkeepers + wishender
