The community is honestly a huge problem in this game. I have yet to meet people who aren't selfish. Shit even in strikes I try to not kill as much stuff because I know that others are trying to collect their specific orbs and I have already done mine. I consistently run into people who will purposely run to the other side of a room to shoot enemies that I am shooting in order to get the kill. Then they will stand in front of me and do the crouch spam like they somehow think they accomplished something other than being a dbag. There have also been time when people will literally refuse to pick teamates up because they just want to keep killing enemies in the room and collect all the orbs themselves. Just selfish human beings. I really wish that Bungie would bring back the ability to solo heroic strikes rather than being forced to matchmake. A lot of the community members make it harder to enjoy a game that is already difficult to enjoy. The worst part is that you can't even block people in the game in hopes of not being queued with them again because the bungie/blizzard client apparently has an error and has yet to be fixed. This has been going on since before foresaken. Bungie of course doesn't help with the community either because they consistently put out quests that benefit players who step on others and ruin others experience in the game.

That's why this game should have an option to run patrol zones solo. Yes yes "but but bongo said! .... muh muh mmo" Sure let's talk about that p2p connection or no lfg in game or bare-bones chat no one uses and most have turned off by default I imagine. This game does not have zones the same size as gw2 or wow. The game plays like diablo 3 or borderlands 2. Why do you think people use the trick on ps4 to force solo play? Is it because loading in with 3-5 randoms (you can't even talk to) in a zone or 2 randoms in a strike is so much fun? Want to force coop? Sure ep, well, reckoning, raids, nightfall, menagerie, forge and what else there is. Making matchmaking for zones and normal strikes optional would make casual players happy and the sweats and pros would not care one bit or feel the difference. I guarantee you if this game had more options to play solo (patrol zones normal strikes) it would attract more players that like stuff like this. You would still prefer to have other players on say mars as it's basically a hordmode zone anyway. Atm I see a lot of people that are sick of random people in zones and strikes.

I think it would be nice to have a mechanic that allows you to register you want to do heroic so others can see it visually somehow

I do it on purpose. Its hilarious when u kill the boss before it goes heroic and people punch me or shot at me. I hit the “immadumbassssss thanks everyone” emote 😂

I dont mean to be that guy but... Sorry but if I'm trying to grind to upgrade my Solstice gear and I'm trying to complete a bounty for that blue armor step that just says do public events and doesnt require them to be heroic then I'm melting the boss. I'd rather get the event over with than stand around in a circle waiting for the smaller circle to fill up.
