He left an eleven year old daughter, who is now twelve, without a father and mother. Her mother passed away earlier in her life, of causes that I am not certain of.
Every time I make one of these in memorial posts, it grows harder and harder to say something meaningful. Not due to a lack of meaning or happiness within the time we spent with Shane Mimbs, or the time he spent with us, but because it is so hard to find words that can live up to that joy and pure goodness he brought with him.

I never knew he died. I hope his daughter is doing better and finding a way to move on.

When I joined about 5 years ago, if I recall correctly, he was there at every moment from when I started. I miss seeing his posts and replies, he was a cool guy. -blam!- cancer

Wouldve liked to meet him

2 RisposteYou don't need to say anything Hoss, just reminding us that he is gone is enough. He meant something different to each of us & we lost a brother when he passed.

27 RisposteHold on a moment. Varvatos was here one year ago to witness this. HOW IN THE FREAKIN WORLD CAN SOMEONE CHANGE THEIR USERNAME IF THEY’RE DEAD?

I still remember that final post, and all the people who denied that he actually was dying. Very sad times.
-
Honestly, for a forum user that I didn't know that well, but still knew of the person he was, I still feel sad knowing he is gone. He was a wonderful person to be around, and the few times he did reply to a comment I made on a post, he always seemed to just be nice, in w very genuine and real way. I may not have known him well, mainly due to me lurking in Offtopic for years, but I, and many others, will miss him. I don't mean to be sappy, but thank you for making these posts to remember a very amazing user.

1 RispondiWait wait wait. So you're saying....
God is dead?!
3 RisposteCancer can go -blam!- itself for taking so many and ruining many more

3 RisposteThe fact that a bunch of random losers in some barren forum on the internet can mourn the death of some other random forum user a year later shows that there is still hope for the human race. Rest well m8

He was a cool dude, and I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that we miss him.
-
Well at least he didn’t try to have sex with the main characters wife. Rip Shane Mimbs/God, you will never be forgotten.

Yo, this is sad as shit.

4 RisposteModificato da NeonPropose: 4/14/2019 3:09:11 PMRest in peace.
i know for a fact that some users are gonna spoil this post with disrespectful comments (as we’ve seen already). It’s a shame that people will continue to do this, especially on a post that’s meant to be respectful and show how much of a community we are. Because at the end of the day that’s what Offtopic is. A sub-forum and a community. I said it once, I’ll say it again. Rest in peace God.
