Have less than $0 to my name as of a $1200 fender bender earlier today. Im still in highschool so I can only work enough hours at my job to make about $80-120 a week (-$~50/week for gas/other expenses). Had about $1000 saved up about a month ago, then got a speeding ticket ($200), then the fender bender from earlier today. Idk what to do. its gonna take me like 5 months of working (at my job that i -blam!-ing hate) just to get back to where i was.

That's nothing. I owe probably closer to $10,000 in medical bills because of no insurance and $20,000 in student loans. Welcome to the real world where everything you make really isn't yours.

I got a fender bender not long ago. It was my fault technically since I hit him.
It was raining, I was a good distance behind the other car, but while I was doing my mirror check, the traffic came to a sudden halt and the guy in front of me had to slam on his brakes. I slammed on mine, and I ended up hitting him. It wasn't that bad. He was in a jeep with a well inflated tire, so the tire absorbed the impact, so the only damage was a dent in my hood. Since the other guy had no damage, we just called it a day. I should have stayed farther back in the rain.
4 RisposteModificato da ABackSeatDriver: 3/23/2019 6:23:16 PMWell...you can start paying attention to the road while driving. That usually will save you from losing money like that.

1 RispondiWas the fender bender your fault? What is your insurance deductable? How badly damaged is your car? Drivable? Life happens. The money you once had, you won't later for a myriad of reasons. Get use to it.

Go find another job with your repaired vehicle and then quit the one you hate. Then save up for 5 months some place you are happy.
