Unrealistic grind for normal players
So let me caviate this comment that I class myself as a normal player, I get on 3-4 times a week for 2-3 hour sessions
So I finally jumped on to D2 last night and quite like the luck of the Oxygen Scout. Then I looked at the grind involved again and just turned off. I my view the game has a massive issue here that they have pushed the grind to high and as a result are excluding a huge part of the player base that will (if they haven't already) just stop playing. I want to be able to log on in an evening and achieve something or at least have a chance of getting a pinicle item, not spend all season doing one thing just to get one item.

5 RisposteIn 2-3 hours you can run the Strange Terrain Nightfall enough times solo to get the percentage done, the orbs half done, and the kills a third done. A second 2-3 hour session grinding nearly any Nightfall will finish it up. Even on your schedule it can be easily done in two days.

Nobody says you have to get things the day they release. Once you have the weapon, you have it forever and can use it as much as you please. People that don't have time to get everything in the first week, don't get penalized for such. For example, Merciless released at D2 launch. You can still get it, you can still use it. Your own fear of being behind other people isn't a reason to make everything easy to obtain. You either grind for however long it takes you, or you don't get it, or you quit playing the game. I won't have it for a couple months, probably, because I don't have 8 hours a day to grind. But I'll get it eventually and it will still shoot and kill stuff. FOMO isn't bungies problem.

Pinnacle weapons weren't designed with players like you in mind.

I’m a fairly causal player and it took me 2 days to get it. Dedicate on of your 2-3 hour play sessions to getting the headshots and orbs (at the same time with a masterworked gun) and then the next day grind a NF for about an hour and you’re done.

3 RisposteThey are trying to extend the daily log on numbers, because if it takes you longer to do things you will have to invest more time on the game. Problem with that philosophy is that the player base will just get pissed off with the tedious grind every day and take more breaks to play other more fun games.

Nightfalls grinding will make this very easy, specific strikes have tonnes of tash mobs and orb generating potential, I think this is easier than the fusion was.

1 RispondiI understand what your saying. There are many top tier weapons/loot that have what seems to be impossible grinds or time gated quests. I stink at platforming. I tried the Whisper quest but found it too frustrating for a weapon that I probably would only put in the vault. Jotuun, is mighty impressive but, unlocking that forge was way too time consuming. I only unlocked the 2nd the forge. there are some great weapons out there for the casual gamer. Polaris Lance, Hammerhead, Mida are not hard quests and most other good loot is RNG. I think the person that puts in the grind to open 50 raid chests to finally get 1000 voices, is very deserving but I dont envy the time it took.

Just solo 18 nightfalls, you’ll finish the other objectives while you’re doing that. Trust me, if I can solo a nightfall, so can you!

Its definitely something that if you only play casually will be obtained within a few weeks. If you want the gear on the first day then..... yeah grind away, but don't complain about it. It was your choice!

5 Rispostehaven't grinded since d1, just playing the game when feeling like shooting stuff. the loot just isn't that interesting, muted boredness if you will... the armor is especially boring, seriously, why? yeah...dress up your barbie and throw in some mods...zzzz then delete shaders bc that shit keeps piling up....ocd d1 just had fun guns, aka more and better perks, really got excited when had a good gun with good perks, now everything seems so bland. no more outlaw + firefly/litc, only outlaw...or shitfly... the removal of one perk tree, really makes a difference. and also, being a late 'saken player the enhancement core requirement makes me dismantle everything lower than the new gear with higher number, yay, constantly using random weapons, like they matter that much .. or just maybe, i'm tired of the grind, after d1. i do like the game, played drunk crucible, against stacks or whatever, died a lot, but had fun, balls, was i bad 😁 console fov os so tiny, can't see shit...takes a while to get used to, again.

I’m what people would call a “hardcore” player and I stopped playing weeks ago because I’m bored to death. Bungie consistently fail to balance the game, it’s either too casual or too hardcore. Just look at their poor weapon balancing skills.

They are excluding their mid-core players like you and me which, in my opinion, are the vast majority who plays this game. And they are committed to keep the game like this, just [url=https://youtu.be/XNwmc5vMkLM]go see this season ViDoc[/url] and pay attention to what the devs and Luke Smith say from minute 7:25 to the end. They want Destiny to be like this, grindy, hardcore and almost unbearable to all but the most no-lifer players. In a side note, I kind of give my thanks to Bungie to finally decide what they want Destiny to be, it will be much easy for me to leave it for good if their intentions turn out to be solid rock.

2 RisposteI didn't mind grinding the SR out... What I do mind is that it's quite a mediocre weapon. I get better explosions with my Loaded Question. Scouts just ain't in a great place at the moment (in my opinion)

the 3 pinnical weapons are just that weapons made to show off that you love doing those activities and are not made to be obtained by normal players in a day but more over the ourse of a couple weeks if you play the game normaly you will get it without even realizing you even were working twords it

You don’t need it first day. It’s a SEASONAL pinnacle weapon. You have 3 months. That requires playing strikes. It’s not even hard

I already have the Recluse, many others have gotten the other pinnacle weapons. It’s decently realistic seeing as I only play on weekends

Not a fan of pinnacle. Just consider that vanguard duty is more than just strikes or nightfalls. It’s always the same with crucible, eventually reach fabeled. Very little variation

3 RisposteI don't think you understand the idea of "pinnacle". It is not meant for casual players, and should take either skill or a time investment.
