Wouldn't it be nice if this stuff unfolded in real time instead of through additional information read later on? I mean, a lot of things could be addressed with some simple voice overs during gameplay if they don't want to add cutscenes. Dialogue shouldn't be hard or expensive and would bring a LOT into the game.

Maybe, but it’s never particularly bothered me. I enjoy learning this stuff and picking neat clues out from collectibles and objects in the missions.

I'm not saying they should remove the lore tabs, but rather the lore tabs should simply add further details to the story instead of actually telling you the story you just played through after the fact.

True enough. I agree, but as soon as they do that, it’ll be people complaining about the quality of the voice acting, or the fact that whatever voice they pick for well-established characters like Shin ‘doesn’t match.’ Though, I do agree.
