Exotic drop rate and duplicate
So I though bungie increase exotic drop or at the very least reduce the duplicate of exotic if you were missing non quest ones. I am missing like 4 and have gotten nothing but duplicates. Just wondering if anyone else drop rate was like this.

8 RisposteThis has become a long running joke between myself and my friend. He gets exotics every time we play and they are always new ones. If and when I get them they are duplicates. Last 2 I had were riskrunner and sweet business. I’ve ran out of ideas. Worst thing is all these will be nerfed by the time I get them. Been playing from the start and losing the will lately

Me as well ran for the last two weeks got one exotic from a planetary chest it was borealis it sucks all i have been trying to get is the gwisin vest or the shards gauntlets and no luck. Oh by the way i already had borealis. These drops really suck.

I think having multiple characters helps.usually if one character is in dry spot the other character will be give more. I’ve gotten 2 wild drops and 3 milestone drops this week alone. Even more if you count eververse drops. Only one was duplicate. Riskrunner Wavesplitter Two tailed fox Black Talon That was this week alone

Same I have been getting nothing but duplicate year 1 bullshit for over a month now, last week I even got a duplicate black talon.

The exotic drop rate blows! I have been a big Destiny fan but it’s extremely frustrating when you only have 54/113 exotics in the game. I have 3 characters and have bought all DLC content/passes and only have 54 exotics that I have bought most of from xur because I don’t get ANY exotic drops. This is BS!

I literally got 9 exotics since last reset, three were duplicates but the rest were things I never had.

Decreased exotic duplicate chance. 💯%🇫🇦 🇮 🇱 My last 3 exotics on my Warlock have been duplicates, I still need Chromatic robes, and many of the guns. What they've succeeded in doing is make me kinda dread picking up that exotic I see no the floor. I used to love seeing that yellow/gold exotic in D1, now In D2 I'm the glass half empty pessimistic guardian, that's become too used to disappointment, they've done this to me, this so called patch needs another rework, the miniscule percentage they upped it by if at all hasn't worked.

Duplicates? I wouldn’t know that was a problem. That would require the game to actually give me exotic engrams.

I've had about 7 exotics drop in the last couple weeks only 1 was something I didn't have and it was a year 1 exotic .

Exactly, got a risk runner again. Bungie, no point in declaring that there is dupe protection in place.

Mine is worse..haven't got a new exotic in past 2 months of playing..get tired of not getting any..I do every challenge and power gear chance every reset and still nothing F U bungie

I have played quite a lot, especially since forsaken. I have gotten Zero forsaken non-questline exotics so far. Got a duplicate exotic last night in mayhem, my first in crucible and I have redrix broadsword. So really unluckly so far.

I only have the shards of Galanor left. I will have them all after that. I went on a weird duplicate streak for about 2.5 weeks though.

Within a 7 day span on one character, I received 4 new exotics after having gone 64+ days without seeing any at all. They definitely changed something.

4 RisposteThe drop rate seems to wax and wane. I wasn’t seeing exotics from any non-quest source or Xûr for MONTHS. Suddenly, I’m seeing them drop in the wild (Patrol territories and during Strikes) and from activity completions (Strikes and Crucible; not so much from Gambit). It’s so freakishly often lately that I’ve started recording them (see them in my Xbox profile captures, among other goodies like unexpected Taken domes in Lost Sectors). Within the last few weeks, I’ve gotten (in this order, to the best of my recollection): * Queenbreaker * One-Eyed Mask * Oathkeeper * Trinity Ghoul * Gwisin Vest * Antaeus Wards * Black Talon * Phoenix Protocol * Shards of Galanor Yes, all of those dropped in a relatively short span. All I’ve been doing differently has been to play all three classes almost equally whereas I was formerly only playing my main. I just work on the weekly milestones. I haven’t even completed the first forge, yet. I have never completed any of the raids. I don’t touch Competitive. I don’t even get all milestones done each week but I do now spread my game time across all three characters chasing the easiest dailies and weeklies. If there’s any way to unlock an RNG drought, it has to be the obvious: play more. Participate in everything you can and spread your time across all three classes (don’t fixate on your main).

did the new raid for the first time last night first drop was the shotgun cool cool cool. The second drop was a Stag and the 3 was Sanguine Alchemy...... had both already...... so stupid. 2 of the last 3 exotics i got before that were merciless.

1 RispondiIt seems to have worked for some but not others. I can’t get One Eyed Mask no matter how many hours I play. This game went from my favorite to straight up depressing. I’m close to 30 Last Wish clears, beat the new raid twice, and do my milestones every week on each character but still no One Eyed Mask. This is just ridiculous. 😞🔫

Increased my a$$. Seems to me like they decreased the drop rates. I've had one exotic drop from milestones and no engrams in over a month.

I have never had a Exotic engram drop anywhere in the world the only exotic's i get are from cashing in planetary resources.....i have had 3 wardcliff coil's this week from asher lol.

It’s actually gotten worse for me since the patch. It’s only pushing me closer to throwing the game in the trash can where it belongs and moving onto games worth my time investment.
