Here are some rules that EVERYONE needs to know if they want to get into a Gambit match and NOT have the rest of your team throw their gaming platform thingy out the nearest window.
Rule 1: (the most important one) I do not care, how good, how amazing, how spectacular, how confident, how incredibly breathtaking you think you are at Gambit. When you hear the Drifter scream "Bank and you'll summon a Primeval." or one of the other 50 phrases he says, that means...
STOP: I do NOT care what the heck your doing, the second the Drifter says you can summon a primeval, that means you run as fast as you can to the bank, and drop in your motes, I don't care if you are one hit away from killing that random yellow-bar servitor, I don't care if you have your super charged and there is a big group of enemies just BEGGING to be killed, you STOP and you bank your f***ing motes. You bank your motes, you summon your Primeval, you win (usually)
Rule 2: Stop always going for a large blocker! there are so many times when sending over 4 small blockers can be WAY more effective then sending over one large blocker that gets melted in 4 seconds if the other team is smart enough to focus their fire on it. Especially because the small blockers can push your enemies off ledges, getting rid of any motes they had. Sure a large blocker could also kill some people, (not really) but nine times out of ten, a few small blockers can be way more effective than one large blocker.
Rule 3: STOP INVADING RANDOMLY! I don't care if you think it's your turn to invade in Gambit, stop just randomly invading when you have nothing, only to die, lose all 15 of your motes (another mistake; invading with motes) and then scream in the mic how the other team is hacking. ONLY invade when you have
a: Your Super
OR
b: Power ammo
Now it's not like if you don't have these when you invade you're automatically not going to get any kills, but it would most certainly help to have them when you invade.
Rule 4: Kill the wizards first! This one not many people may know about, but if you kill the wizards that spawn near the primeval when it spawns in you will be able to deal more damage to the Primeval, so it is always a good idea to quickly clear out those wizards before engaging the primeval.
Rule 5: Do not invade the moment the enemy gets their primeval. Trust me, this does absolutely nothing, save that invasion portal for when they have started to deal a bit of damage to their primeval to reset their progress (and remember rule 3 before invading) if you invade right as they spawn their primeval, sure you may kill them and set them back a tiny bit, but you would be doing so much more if you just wait until their primeval has taken a bit of damage before invading.
Rule 6: If you have zero motes, and there is an invader, well congratulations buddy, chum, pal, friend, amigo, (insert other friendly words here) you have just earned the title of invader finder/killer. If you have zero motes, stop cowering in a corner, and go hunt down the invader, kill him before he can kill you. Besides, it's not like hiding will actually do anything as the invader can see where you are through walls.
Rule 7: Always try to focus down blockers. Oh hey! would you look at that! There's a big ol' taken knight standing right beside your bank and he's really upset so he's not gonna let you bank your motes, so what's the logical thing to do? Kill him! or her, I don't know, do Taken have genders?
Anyway, legit though, focus down the blockers, because guess what, all those motes your collecting really don't mean anything if there's still a blocker in your path, preventing you from banking any motes.
Anyway, this has gone on long enough, those are some (yea, there's more) of the basic rules you should know before heading into your next gambit match.
And BTW don't think I'm telling you that you HAVE to follow these rules to the word and only focus on winning and not on having fun. NO that is not what I am saying, I am just trying to help you with some tips on how to be better at Gambit, and trust me, the better you are at something, the more fun it is (usually). By all means, have fun! It's a video game, after all, it's supposed to be played for fun! However, I can guarantee you that your team will be very thankful if you know these basic rules.

Now, eyes up guardian, go have some fun. :)
EDIT: To all the people who think this was just copied and pasted. (Particularly one individual, who's name I shall not say) this was NOT copied from some random website or something. Do I claim that these pieces of advice are mine and mine only? NO these are pieces of advice that I found from videos, playing the game, and watching others play the game. If there is some trick or website where you verify if this is copied then by all means do so. But I can assure you that this was not copied and pasted from reddit, or from another post on the forum, or whatever other website you may think. I wrote this. Am I claiming that I invented these rules? NO I am NOT I know I did not make these rules. I am not taking ownership of them.

1 RispondiModificato da lllBloodLustlll: 12/1/2018 11:12:51 PMThe easiest way to kill the primeval is melee attacks. DON'T SHOOT PRIMEVAL, especially if you are playing against me.
-
I always run arcstrider with raiden flux when solo because ill kill the wizards myself and adds and still have super energy for primeevil .. solo is just horrible

6 RisposteModificato da CompengWho: 12/1/2018 10:25:56 PMBest tip for Gambit, especially when soloing: expect to lose. You will be paired with idiot's, the other team is always 4 god-level players with great strategies. If you assume that, the. The 1 out of 10 matches you win (yes, that's my week so far) will be a pleasant surprise. Edit: dont forget you will be put in the match 3 against 4 with one of your 3 afk
-
Here's one, pay attention to your teams mote counts, if you see someone with 12 or 13 motes, don't steal the motes they are trying to pick up when you are only carrying 2 or 3 to begin with.
-
I've only played Gambit a few times and on the solo queue, so I'll say 'Thank You're for these tips.
-
Couldn’t agree more! Also if the enemy team has a bunch of motes begging to be denied, and we are 4 motes away getting an invasion, bank it even if it doesn’t give a blocker. A big factor in deciding who wins the match is which team invades first.
-
but the other 3 people i get paired up with won’t see this!
-
These should display before each match. I cant believe how fugging stupid ppl are....when these rules are followed you will win 9 out of 10 times....cuz, well, ppl are fugging stupid
-
Yep. 100%
-
Comprehensive and informative. 10/10. This should be required reading.
-
Never play solo.......nuff said
-
I was excited to play Gambit, now I -blam!-ing want to slice my -blam!-ing dick off and -blam!-ing feed it to every -blam!-ing -blam!- that -blam!-ing exists in the -blam!-ing world. Literally every map and match is the same -blam!- sucking -blam!- shit. Here I am trying to get Breakthough for General PVE and I can’t do a single -blam!-ing think without -blam!-ing tearing my TV apart. I’m about ready to give on the quest since it’s BULLSHIT
-
You invade as soon as the primevil is up to protect the envoys. Otherwise your just letting the enemy get free slayer buffs.
-
What about bringing masterworked guns that you personally know how to use to kill with to make orbs as you waste enemies you would shoot anyway.I'll be there making orbs for you, make them for me.Your rules are good and after a few matches those who don't figure it out should read this and i hope they do.
-
What about the rule of being high power before telling people rules
-
Good stuff. One more tip if u are going to invade try invading when the enemy team has got some motes not yet banked putting up a blocker now on the enemy team and then invading really makes a difference. Usually the moment someone invades everyones just goes to bank their motes.
-
I slightly disagree with not invading as soom as they summon. It slows them down and prevents damage, but also when they summon first you get more invasions. Being able to stop them from killing wizards and getting their stacks will help more than only whem they start dps.
-
-blam!-ing BUMP. People need to read this. Everyone needs to read this.
-
2 RisposteThis is all REALLY old info..... I accept that many people don’t follow the advice but I think a lot of people are just doing bounties so you can’t really say they don’t know. They just don’t care. But nothing here is new or inventive. Everyone has known all of this for quite a while, you are adding absolutely no value to the conversation.
-
You must deposit over 30 motes per match to tell me what to do
-
#1 so important. I can’t count the number of times I stood at the bank waiting for my team of ransoms to realize they can bank and summon the prime. Also I would like to add if you invade multiple times and can’t get a single kill then just stop!!!! Let someone else invade.

Look I would do this, but whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

1 RispondiSo invade with 15 motes? Can Do!
-
14 RisposteGlad you think you make the rules for how WE play OUR game. I do what I want, when I want. If I want to stand around like an idiot and not kill or pick up motes, I can. Don't like it, leave.
-
If the wizards have been alive for more than 15 seconds you know you've lost.
