The only reason shotguns are so bloody strong and annoying is there isnt very good counters. Side arms are good but not super reliable. And smgs are just garbage. A small buff to those and maybe in air accuracy would help quite a lot.

I had a legendary shotgun two shot me from a very long range. It was far enough away that my handheld super Nova didn't even touch them. I think max range shotguns might need to be tuned down a bit.

Not saying that SMGs don't need a buff, but the root cause of shotguns being overpowered is the map design. Too many close corners, doorways, hallways, small rooms, etc. I don't think this will change but just saying.

1 RispondiCouldn't agree more. Provides a perfectly viable solution by offering a great counter to shotgunners. I used sidearms before and did amazing with them (forgot about them kinda because of the weapon slot changes). I might start using one again in Crucible because of how nice they are. 18 Kelvins is a great one even though it is a single shot. People with trigger fingers can melt others in crucible especially with kill clip active. 3 Burst are still probably the best though. I would probably go for like rangefinder and Headseeker maybe, or rangefinder and kill clip. Those two combined with a 3 burst sound great. SMGs I have not seen in awhile tbh. A Buff might bring them back as good counters.
