Had quite a few games today that were real questionable. In one game of supremacy half my team left right off the bat. The game pretty quickly went 3-50 because the three of us were just sitting in spawn punching each other. How did the game even go that far? Half the team is gone, it's 3-50 and STILL GOING. It didn't end until some other people joined and it got to 9-83. Why was that not over ages ago?
Had another one where I got on a super sweaty team of control. The other team almost never held a single point, the score at one point was 8-62 and still the game keeps going. Later the game gets to 12-94, game keeps going. They have NO CHANCE of winning, why is this not ending?
I see the same stuff in gambit. One team for whatever reason can't or won't score motes, and can't fill even half the bar before the other team summons and kills the primeval. Why do we need round two? Just end it. Obviously it sucks for the losing team, but it's just as boring on the winning side. The point of PvP is for a challenge against other players. If those players are worse than the thralls we kill by the hundreds, who's having fun?
Can we just be real? I know the typical response is "But we can make a comeback!" No the F you can't. When your team finishes a match with an average efficiency of .5 and lower you are never going to mount a comeback. If your team was good enough to make that come back you wouldn't be down 40-110 in the first place. Why can't we just end the garbage match and let people get into a new one where the game might actually be fun and fair?

Just finished a game of supremacy where within the first 50 seconds the score was 2-23. How is that not a good indication the match should just be over?
-
Soooooo working as intended? - Bungle
-
havent seen mercy rule activate in y2. ive been in some deep lopsided matches.
-
Recently went against one player in comp outnumbered 4-1, lets just say it was a boring ass match.
-
One of my matches went 53-8 in clash before mercy kicked in. 4 teammates had 0 kills and I had 5.
-
No kidding, the score in one of my Control matches last night was 103 to 19 before the mercy kicked in... Seriously.
-
4 RisposteI'd just like the option to give up and then have like some symbol or something come up so other people in your group know you did, then if they all agree there is no chance at winning the match then it ends. Otherwise, if even one person wants to keep trying everyone stays. Obviously it'd probably be abused but as someone that's not great at pvp, it'd be nice to just agree to end the match and move onto the next.

There must be at least a 50 points difference when the winning team hits 90 points, the second 90 points is achieved is the the ONLY point in which mercy can happen (in control, idk about other modes). Its needs to be changed to where mercy can happen at ANY time there is a 50 point lead but NOT less than 50.
-
Agreed there is no coming back from those scores, yet the mercy rule doesn’t kick in
-
How about automatic Mercy if Full Solo Team 0.8 KD vs Full Stacked team 1,5 KD
-
6 RisposteControl is tricky because with enough time on the clock you can come back from almost any point.
-
The need a surrender option so you can drop a vote to your team if you wanna end the game.
-
Idk. I did a crucible match today and it started off horrible. We were down 8-50 and we came back and won lol
-
20 RisposteThe whole pvp system is designed for each team to have a really good player at the top who gets over 30 kills. Then a few in the 20’s. Then the rest. Mercy rules wouldn’t allow the top tier players to stomp the hell out of everyone, and they would stop streaming destiny and move on to another game.

I think you should be able to mercy ppl in Gambit. Say you rock them without letting them past the halfway mark first round, just end the match. And get rid of the ridiculous catch-up mechanics. All they do is artificially prolong the match.

Modificato da Corrick II: 11/7/2018 3:25:29 PMNah, with the extra time I can complete my bounties. Then the rule can kick in. Actually, yeah, Bungie should make it where I specifically can instigate the Mercy rule when I’m ready. That would be acceptable.
-
4 RisposteYou could never implement a mercy rule in Gambit because of the meatball boss. It would have been nice had Bungie never tied that quest to this dog shit mode to begin with, but I suspect Bungie knew they needed a few incentives to keep people playing for a while. My guess is Gambit will follow in the footsteps on Comp in that less than 2% of the player base will even be playing it soon.
-
Better rewards upon completion. More likely people will stay and it won't get to the score you referenced. It would also be nice to get a "streak bonus". The longer you stay in que without leaving, the better drops you get.
-
it would likely hurt more noobs feelings?
-
4 RisposteIt would hurt my KD 😂
-
8 RisposteMercy should be taken out so you can be thrashed.
-
god forbid bungie INCREASED general player satisfaction with the game
-
Ya I agree, went up aginsted clan 6 stack of sweaty comp players (they all had not forgotten) we were being creemed and they were sitting at about 80+ to our 15 kills before the game mercy ruled us. On another note they were toxic as ffffff
-
Yeah. It happens occasionally but not so much that it's an issue for me
-
Bungie changes the way Mercy Rule works bc there would be A LOT more mercy rules based on D1 standard which would create hard facts proving they have a poor matchmaking system amongst other issues I’m sure

Was just thinking this yesterday. Been of both sides of it and hoped for it on either side. Had a control match yesterday that we won something like 150-55 and it let it go until we got to 150. Why?
