I've been using this super since the launch of forsaken and i'm probably going to be the 100th person to say this but the super is severely challenged as of right now, and most of the times its more of a frustrating super than a fun one. These points below are focused on spectral blades in PVP.
1. Hit registration. This is a problem everybody has been complaining about. The hit registration on this super is seriously inconsistent. I once hit a sentinel titan 4-5 times in the back with this super, only to have him turn around and one shot me, and this brings up my other point.
2. Low defense boost in super. The defense boost while in super feels extremely mediocre. It is easy to get one shot by other supers or get shut down by a shotgun to the face.
3. Lack of a speed boost or blink ability. You are incredibly slow in super and in the situation where somebody sees you coming and decides to run ,you wont be able to catch them.
4. Super is too short. Being a melee super, this super should definitely last longer and when you mix bad hit registration and a short lunging ability together, it runs out really quickly.
5. Low attack damage. The damage output in super feels very underwhelming for the nature of this super.
All this being said I truly hope something is being done to fix this super because currently, a lot of people would call this the worst super in game and I have to agree. Compared to the other supers, this one falls short. The whole stalker thing is a cool concept and everything but right now with how this super is, you have to work much harder to get kills compared to other supers that can just activate, throw projectiles, launch aoe blasts and last longer. I think spectral blades deserves a fighting chance against other supers because 4/5 times when you go against another player super and they aren't a total potato, you will lose and in that 1 time you win, you legit have to use your whole damn super to do it. It's not like you can say excuse me Mr burning maul or chaos reach, can you please shoot your flaming tornado and kamehameha wave the other way so I can run up to you and melee you since I have no projectiles or increased movement speed, pretty please?

2 RisposteThe only thing it’s good for is the melting point like ability but it’s absolutely trash in pvp since people can easily run away and its nearly impossible to catch them

2 Risposte6. It looks really dumb swinging those butter knives around. Much much worse than D1 Bladedancers. 🤣

Yeah, they're not very good.

I've come to realise that in pvp especially spectral blades is more of an annoyance super than a deadly super. Its like a buzzing fly, that just needs to be swatted and then everybody is good. For a stalker super, this thing really feels like it fails, because even when you do everything right and flank somebody, im not sure exactly what it is but they always end up seeing your slow ass running up to them and if you spam light attack to get close they will still hear you, so you cant really win and when they do see or hear you , you then catch some lead, not to mention how situation this super is, in large maps it is complete trash because of its poor ground cover and short duration and in smaller maps its better but if your not careful you will get a shotgun to the face or a grenade launcher or panic supered when they see you coming. My suggestions would be 1. Give this super a blink ability because our short stubby legs are failing us hard but give it a cd for balance 2. Extend the duration slightly 3. Buff attack and fix hit registration so its not taking 2 hits to kill a normal guardian and what feels like a lifetime to kill enemy supers. 4. Allow spectral blade the ability to throw one of their blades while in super (so they will have 1 for the rest of the super) and this blade should always do precision damage , since you are a skilled assassin and have enhanced information, make it so that the blade you throw always hits a vital spot hence the precision damage. These are my recommendations for this super. Nothing ground breaking or op, i'm aware that everything needs balance. When you throw your single blade in super, your attack speed should slightly decrease since you are using 1 blade now and the cd with a blink ability makes it so we cant teleport dragon ball z style like nova warp. I don't want this super to be op and skilless but jesus christ with how it is now, you don't feel like a skilled assassin, you feel like a crazy person running around with 2 feathers tickling people.

More than likely it’s less of a hit registration problem and more of a “the noises make you think you hit” problem. I’ll agree it’s buggy. I’ve seen spectral blades flail around a room to no avail, and I’ve seen they turn a hallway into a meat grinder. Maybe a slight buff to duration on kill. But now every hunter subclass gets a super duration buff.

It's a pretty buggy super, if the hit detection was fixed it would be fine, the RB attack needs a damage buff too, I shouldn't have to hit an enemy that isnt in a super twice to kill them.

Thats old news but dont you worry...
we are listening to your feedback !
1 RispondiWait a minute... A sentinel titan turned around and one shot you? You sure he didn’t just fly through you?

3 RisposteI agree that it needs to be buffed in terms of hit registration, speed and duration. But I've been practicing with it and I have found that its not a super that you use to wipe another team, in the state that it's in you will most likely only get 2, maybe 3, kills with it if you play smart and don't rush players that already know where you are. You need to pop it when you're hidden and not already in a firefight and don't mash the light attack button because that only works for ads in pve, you need to use it like a regular melee ability and use the heavy attack to go invisible right after. TrueVanguard has a guide on how to use this class in pvp if you wanna check his video out on Youtube, it really helped me out.

Modificato da Grimgar: 10/22/2018 5:14:41 PMThe damage I don't mind. I just hate the hit detection. Also hate that hunters have these stressful gimmicks to activate any of their abilities.

I 100% agree with all you said, I was one of the few that got that power as my first seed of light and boy was it a mistake, wish I could've started off with the fire one instead..
