these events are literally just a cash grab for bungie so they can fund other dlcs/expansions.

If these events are a cash grab than they arent doing a very good job of it since you can get everything from simply playing the game.

Well, cash grab yes. To fund other expansions? No, we very much pay full price for those every time. My point though is that the festival of the cost was absolutely horrid with no way to earn anything by playing the game, after December last year, it's been different in events for the most part, just don't think about that $15 emote for iron banner... At least now you can earn bright dust properly to buy stuff without paying and you can earn it all if you play enough.

And you're 100% sure about yourself on that? Because I like to assume that Base game purchases, Annual/Expansion Passes AND Microtransactions ALL go towards building Destiny into a better experience and I feel that my thoughts on what they're for fit the bill a bit more than your "Bungie is just a money-hungry developer who doesn't care about their players though they've usually done a fantastic job over the past ~20 years they've been around".

That 100mil was a cash boost. Bungie has been working on Matter for quite a while. Activision put in 500mil for destiny. Bungie has their own bank account. And its not empty 😁 on the plus side, its not with activision 😊

I have over 13,000 bright dust. I play enough that I usually get a pretty good amount of the eververse items. Those that don’t drop from engrams, I “purchase” with my bright dust that I’ve acquired through dismantling sparrows, ships and transmit effects. I have not spent one cent on eververse. To those that do spend real money, have at it. You already bought the game, so do as you will.

Exactly. I still purchase things even though I have Bright Dust. I don't mind investing in my favorite game and developer. I've bought the Bow Ornament, Whisper Ornament and the Iron Lord emote, but then again I've purchased every Collectors/Legendary Edition of the game and stuff so idk, my opinion may be skewed but purchases like that literally take away nothing from the game. And most items are just $10 to purchase, so it's honestly not bad at all.

See, that’s totally cool with me. You love destiny, you enjoy what it offers you. Why wouldn’t you invest in something you truly enjoy. Money, time, whatever it is. If it makes you happy, do it !
