Title. Every game I seem to win I think, "Man, it sure was lucky that I had full special and heavy for the Primeval." When I lose, I notice, "Wow, I didn't have a SINGLE brick of special or heavy drop from an enemy that entire time!"
I LOVE Gambit but even when I WIN I feel like I just got lucky, not that I actually performed well.
-
Really? I thought it was sleeper.
-
Only time I run out of heavy in gambit is if I ignore the mid map heavy spawns, special feels a bit random sometimes sure
-
Seems about right. I was in a group yesterday against a premade. We destroyed them the first round. I had heavy ammo finder on 2 pieces of gear and did not get any bricks to drop. Needless to say Special boss spawns and I have to special or heavy. I invade get 3 kills with my super and then when I comeback I see the premade melt the boss due to all having sleeper.

I have Heavy Ammo Finder perks on my Gauntlets and on my bond, in my experience from playing 197 or Gambit I've had multiple rounds with no Heavy drops, and some rounds with Heavy drops. My friends in a Discord server I'm in are saying that they always get Heavy ammo to drop in Gambit. I just find the whole thing a little confusing.

Lol i can relate

1 Rispondikinda seems to be similar to crucible, get a 5 streak get stomped. its like they dont want me to have that broadsword :). just seems like a mechanic to drag out the grind..

Agree. I’ve spent I don’t know how many rounds yelling at my tv because the enemies refuse to drop special or heavy ammo. How much does it suck to use all your ammo clearing blockers only to see them drop glimmer? I no longer bring shotguns into gambit because of this. Not sure, but wondering if ammo finder perk combinations on certain armor are screwing with he drop rates? I noticed the other day that having multiple primary finder perks equipped seemed to result in no primary ammo dropping AT ALL until I switched from my shotgun to another weapon. Definitely needs further investigation. RNG ammo drop rates are effectively handicapping players in Gambit.

1 RispondiIt doesnt, Next please.
-
Your not wrong, I’ve had multiple occasions where I get no heavy at all during the whole round and every Invader non stop shoots their Sleeper.
-
1 RispondiAbsolutely, after 30 matches finally got the malfeasance boss to spawn but our whole team couldn’t get any heavy drops the whole round besides the heavy spawn. Lost due to not enough dps.
-
7 RisposteWell I mean you should just be going in to have fun? Why is players mentality always fixated on these miniscule problems? To me it says you should play the parts of the game you enjoy if not just don't play
-
6 RisposteI 100% believe its rigged. One game you wipe the floor with them . The next game they wipe the floor with you. Forcing a 3rd game. How many times have you seen it go only two rounds? No where near as much as you see it go 3. It's completely rigged to extent play time and keep people playing. Nothing more than a nickle slot machine in Vegas.

10 RisposteBuild an armor set that gives higher chances of Power drops...

Modificato da Dominator of Oats: 9/30/2018 7:13:15 PMThis is very true. We got the special primeval to spawn, all I had was 30 arrows. That's it. No heavy for the whole match other than a brick I watched falling into the abyss in Kell's Grave. Nice map, that moment sucked, though.
-
its the comeback mechanic at work, Bungie: "it seems you are melting you're primeval too quickly, let me fix that for ya! Lost the next round There it's Fix!
-
Yep. This game's ammo problem is stupid AF considering it wasn't a problem in D1 with ammo synths. They either lost some good developers or made some awful decisions.
-
Totally agree. Second round we had bad luck with ammo and of course we get our primeval out first and its the servitor we have been waiting for. No heavy and little special so used supers. But he shields up every 10 seconds. Then 2 ogres drop in because other team caught up and put in motes. Then get invaded. Kill him then focus on adds get ogres down and then invaded again. They got their primeval down first using our already accrued stacks and game over. Losing team gets too much advantage too catch up.

6 RisposteHow about this...gambit without sleeper. Way better mode.

Modificato da Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 9/30/2018 12:33:58 PMHeavy ammo does seem to be inconsistent.
-
I was thinking this exact same thing today.
-
Yeah I dont understand why sometimes I get constant heavy or special drops and other times I'm just using my primary for a round. Thankfully with my amour set i use for gambit if I do get brick of ammo it usually gives me 7 sleeper rounds.
-
Modificato da Sky: 9/30/2018 9:57:27 AMI agree.. having ammo is fairly important in dealing damage to a boss. If you are stuck with just your primary, its like poking a giant with a tooth pick because you are unprepared for the fight. The heavy spawning for one person on your team doesnt work in this game mode. Mostly people take it and run off into the portal with it. Heavy really should spawn in for the entire team to even the odds and make sure people actually have ammo. I do enjoy Gambit.. but the game mode relies way way too heavily on RNG.

Agreed many matches I don’t get any annoying but then the enemy team keeps invading with plenty of heavy ammo. And ppl say it isn’t an issue? It kind of is when the other team can fight their prime evil with supers and sleeper.
-
Personally, I wouldn't go that far, I've never had a problem winning when I play with my clan, ammo drops or not. Playing with randoms, now, that's another story. I need all the heavy I can get for my sleeper to kill invaders and for the wizards and Prime Evil. But, playing with my clan it doesn't mater one bit if I have heavy,I use a shotgun so that's useless one the boss spawns, unless you wanna die after DPS LOL

Talk about nitpicking
