My Question About Cayde-6
I thought Cayde was a good guy. I thought he had an ego and could be a kinda bratty but i thought he helped his friends? I thought he had a good, genuine heart. Is it only for a select few people? Does he have split personalities?
Someone explain his behavior towards Variks. Because it made his death a whole lot easier to get over.
Why would he want to hurt my baby ;-;

9 RisposteThe reason Cayde acted so negatively towards Variks after he mentioned Taniks. is because the Hunter vanguard before Cayde was Murdered by Taniks. Cayde was close friends with him at the time. If Cayde wasn’t part of the vanguard he would have killed taniks long before we could.

It's just that it's hard to trust, let alone be friendly to, a race that has killed thousands of guardians and civilians without mercy. And he did mention Taniks, the guy who killed his best friend and mentor. I'm sure you would react the same way if you were in Cayde's position and it was Variks who got killed instead of Andel Brask.

I bet it would be worse and I’d flip out on anyone if they mentioned that bully’s name if he killed a loved one. Also, I don’t think Cayde acted out on speciesism or anything. He was in one of the Spider’s clubs at the time gambling when the interaction occurred right? I’m sure if that were the case, then he was in a club with many Fallen in it. Also, he was gambling. I’m certain he wouldn’t want anyone to come up and distract him while he is betting his Glimmers

Cayde has seen some of the worst sides of the fallen (Taniks, city attacks, etc) so it's likely that he just can't bring himself to trust them. Variks specifically isn't the issue, Cayde probably just doesn't trust fallen in general. Not Cayde's fault. #ScrewYouTaniks

The Eliksni are a...[i]sensitive[/i] subject to say the least. After Taniks, Wolf rebellion, Your battle of Six fronts and Twilight Gap, its hard to trust them...

( I understand you’re the number one Variks fan and his best friend)

1 RispondiVariks probably cut off communications with him during the house of wolf's after Taniks was killed, that was supposed to be Cayde's job but we took it before he could start Naturally Variks saw Cayde as lazy and useless so he cut communications with him.
