I mean, I'd like to see a buff lol. Maybe the catalyst could give it full auto :D or be the only weapon with the OG firefly?!

Pass: full-auto is a wasted perk, and actually makes a gun worse for me. I want it to fire exactly when I indicate it to, and not at any other time. Taking a precision gun and removing the shot control from it just isn't something I'm into. I'll leave the auto fire for truly automatic weapons...and yes, I am still pissed about the Vigilance Wing catalyst upgrade.

I heartily disagree: full auto optimizes DPS, making it not a wasted perk in my mind. All weapons are better with full auto.

Modificato da Technohydra: 6/20/2018 3:04:13 PMI willconceed that full-auto maxes the DPS of a weapon, this is true. In my experience (coming primarily from a hand cannon PvP and PvE perspective), it also has a negative impact on the accuracy of the shooter. Most people aren't as good at lining up the next shot on time as they are pulling the trigger when the shot is lined up and on time. As a result, I notice that crits get missed, or ammo gets wasted as a result, and most people develop the tendency to simply hold down the trigger until something is dead. In a lot of cases, this leads to sloppy or poor shooting habits. In my opinion (and only in my opinion, keep in mind), if you need full auto to make a gun work for you the way you want it to, then the gun isn't for you (unless it's an AR or SMG, of course). In D1, if a gun I was trying for a good roll on had full auto, I scrapped it immediately; that could have been a braced frame, rifled barrel, etc. Something that affects every bullet passively and positively. I have extremely good timing, and I trust myself to be within 5% of the max rate of fire on my own. So I personally will trust my fire rate to my trigger discipline, and look for a better, more beneficial perk in that slot every time. Everyone's mileage can and will vary, of course, it's just my personal opinion. Edit: if they would place a toggle so I can turn full auto off, I'd be much more happy with it existing.

Agreed, I never realized a gun has full auto because I never use it. A scout rifle with full auto is just a scout rifle that I accidentally shoot two bullets instead of one. Give me a hard hitting handcannon that that doesn't have full auto and you have my vote
