I think this problem will resolve itself when people gain power level. The main reason for this is because the strikes are hard, but that's how it's supposed to be at the current power level of most players.
Just wait and it should get better.

I'm not being a fanboy just because I want a challenge early on. If you want to blow through strikes like they're nothing go play the regular strikes playlist. That's what they're for. Also, being 5 power levels over the recommended doesn't mean that you'll do maximum damage. Getting even higher will make it easier.
