I find Skyburners gets overwhelmed in the Castellum. It was really disappointing having anticipated it would overperform. My point is, I disagree that base power is fine. Precision boost is great, but the weapon doesn’t feel like a scalpel; it doesn’t aim like one either, until enemies are closer, but by then there are far too few rounds. I think there are far too few rounds for body shots at range, as well. This weapon should be spec’d to perform well at the Dogs door in the Castellum. It should be a go to exotic in Prestige, too, given some kind of added perk on the big cabal-ish boss. EDIT: I amend this statement after having revisited Skyburners yesterday. I think the changes might make the weapon pretty good *from the hip* in Castellum. Also noting that’s how the Cabal us the weapon, so that’s pretty cool.

This is excluding any current buffs being currently allocated. Skyburners Oath boost reserve ammo to 420 for the skyburners in PVE and increase magazine size to 21 21mags total. Doing this will increase overall functionality for long term usage for the weapon Increase Base dmg of ADS to do (4x)Quadruple dmg to Cabal, this weapon NEEDS TO MELT High tier Raid/Nightfall tier Major CABALS into space turtle rhino stew not take a full minute to slay a single low tier HP sponge add and being forced to DODGE to do so. The Skyburners Oath should be something CABAL FEAR PERIOD. Double the Blast RADIUS not the dmg but the actual AOE Explosion diameter from hip-fire rounds and add a laser sight when hip-firing. Sweet Business increase Resilience by +3 when behind cover and increase the base magazine to 105 and reserves by 110 scoring multi-kills could return ammo to the magazine killing a major while critically wounded could start health (HP) regen. Tractor cannon Increase Reserve ammo by 15 add a slight pull suction effect before launching a target Drastically increase collision and environmental damage to targets drastically increase dmg against bosses and majors. Hardlight Make recoil more controllable and vertical have increase reserves by 55 and increase over penetration and ricochet rounds to keep bouncing until a target is struck. Coldheart If a shielded major's shield is deactivated it should release a freezing pulse that FREEZES nearby non-shielded targets for 6 seconds. increase base stability by 12 and reserves by 155 Riskrunner charge a small amount of ARC supers when scoring multi-kills disabling arc shields shocks nearby enemies Side Note: Please add some full-auto KINETIC scout & pulse rifles please we dont have any in game currently. and some Exotic Swords and Melee weapons! Nightfall specific rewards Should have an intrinsic perk do extra dmg to Major enemies of a corrisponding type like does bonus damage to minotaurs for example.

I would like the sky burners to have more damage bigger explosions and a bullet drop mechanic when your firing the explosives to make it feel even more like a cabal gun. Oh and the rat king needed some love maybe a little more actually a lot but anyways these exotic buffs are awesome. Oh and it’s sights not sites

3 RisposteInteresting idea but looks underpowered... Don't think we'll ever see the kind of awesome power fantasy D1 allowed at times. For all my griping about Destiny (and it's justified) there was some genuinely awesome stuff you could do, especially during nightfalls. I really miss just melting waves of enemies with the Vex, or abusing the Obsidian Mind & Bad Juju combo to just lay waste to everything (that was honestly the closest the game ever came to offering anything even approaching what Diablo or Borderlands does). Just looks like yet another "meh" Exotic in an already too-long list. Where are the major game changers Bungie? Oh right, you don't do those anymore. Haven't really (or very sparingly) since vanilla D1.

I never liked the way this weapons looks. There's nothing in this word worth doing unless you look absolutely fabulous while doing it. Also, it just seems like they tweaked the rate of fire and nothing else. Meh.

Looks cool, I like the dual utility idea. But sadly it does just seem cosmetic as the hip fire mode was clearly struggling to kill the trash mobs. Bungie please remember that we can only equip one exotic weapon at a time and the one we do pick should be pretty strong imo. So my thoughts are it's a neat idea maybe just buff the damage somewhat and your good to go!

See! This video has just you nuking the enemy with the oath and we can fully see that it's a nice weapon and not too OP. This is in stark contrast to the Graviton video where it's unclear what the heck is going on. Were there two lances being fired, two lances and a rocket etc. etc. Will the explosions proc. Where as this video just shows that the sky burners, against its intended enemy, is a beast! exactly as it should be! So well done for this video now go back and reshoot the lance video in the same manner!

The explosive simply don't do enough damage to justify shooting most of the mag to kill adds (seeing as how it struggled against a low level bullet sponge... I don't want to imagine a high level bullet sponge). In a raid, or high LL activity in general, the explosive rounds aren't going to do much. It looks fun, it could do well against doggos (but that's really it... and you could just prec-shot psions) and everything else will just take longer than simply switching to another gun. Not only that, but your 'float and shoot' tactic is going to get you killed. Again, it's fun for low level missions, but do that in the Nightfall and you'll certainly die. First, due to the lack of scope while still having a 'power theme' in the recoil, I would buff the damage by enough to be comparable to other heavy hitting scouts in general, and then be the hardest hitting scout against Cabal. It warrants the close range risk while not making it overpowered in other scenarios as to just be an 'always use' gun. I would then buff the grenade 'blast', not impact, but the blast damage by enough to be comparable to a Better Devils quality explosion damage AND give it stagger potential of the Better Devils. Ultimately, I don't think the actually do that much more damage with this buff, but it'll allow a slow down utility of enemies that makes up for the ammo used. Also, you should really consider increasing the ammo reserves for this weapon. It eats through ammo in grenade form and the lack of scope almost forces this gun to 'act' like an auto even though it has scout rifle mechanics. Last, but also least, personally I would like to see 25 in the magazine so that the ammo burn isn't as bad. This would allow you to switch between grenade mode and precison mode more regularly between enemies so that the dual utility would be more notable. This would also more strongly justify the reload time a bit better. IMO.

Looks really good Cosmo but.Were is or are the new excotics o gear etc etc. I like the way its going but i think the fan base needs new things to farm or weapon quest like back in D1 and not reskind things. Thanks and regards

Have a thumbs up for at least having only 1 person in this clip. You immediately cut out the issues with having rockets and teammates firing at the ads you’re killing. This didn’t look any more impressive than if I were hopping around with a better devils.

We have all this stuff already give us a grind , exotic bounties, etc . I don’t care about buffing crap I already have.

Second the Reserve ammo for the Skyburners Oath is still WAY to low to be utilized for prolonged battles and thats a SERIOUS problem for an energy scout rifle that fires in full-auto not to mention the base magazine is friggin tiny. boost the reserves to 420 rounds and increase base magazine to 21 Third the recoil pattern is still bleh and kicks like a dang mule for no proper reason. ADS should highlight targets, make shielded enemies killed release an elemental pulse that causes a small amount of dmg to nearby shielded phalanx targets Make Hip-fire explosions BIGGER. Doing this will make this unique.
