“The Grind” is not playing the same nightfall 100s of times only to not get anything.
“The Grind” in any good game is the end reward for a lengthy quest or a guaranteed reward for playing hours and hours of a certain type game mode.
And not a reward you may or may never receive.

no, it's not. That may be your opinion but it's not reality.

Grinding the NF wasn’t much of a grind, nor was it lengthy. We were completing it in a matter of 10 minutes. I got hand cannon on my 3rd normal run and then ran it 25 more times to help friends. You still get rewards including tokens and exotic drops, unlike the old NFS that literally gave you nothing after the first completion.

Tell that to Diablo 3. Its laughing at your assessment.

I wish more people had been asking for quests rather than "just more grind". Near launch, people were complaining that MIDA was tied to a quest. Since then, people have simply been asking for more reasons to grind, but few have asked for more than strike specific rewards. It doesn't seem like Bungie is completely gone deaf, but rather that they're unable to please everyone.

Standing MF ovation. Lore quests, story quests, exotic quests, everything in Eververse quests. Some quests could be like a treasure hunt where your given vague info and have to seek out the loot.
-
Would love to see more quest related stuff. Using the lore behind exotic weapons/the Destiny universe and possibly more cutscenes to really actually see the story unfold would be great. D1 exotic quests and the planetary quests after you complete the D2 story were awesome in how they talked of lore and expanded the world. Would be great for them to build upon that. Maybe not make the quests RNG but do something to make it so you have to grind or get kills with specific weapons or in specific areas of the game to obtain them.

Anything to get you to play and put the hours in. It's not a 'Grind', it's a gamble. As is the majority of this game...

Tell that to the people demanding random rolls, the exact antithesis of "grinding for specific rewards". Their voices were so loud that randomization is now on the roadmap.
-
But what is exactly is randomization? Dif rolls or a clan tag. Dif shaders and weapon auras? Randomization is a broad subject.
-
%100 correct. This is a fake grind that just puts you in a loop spinning around a hamster wheel chasing the cheese.

You should know by now, with bungie it’s never just the right amount. ALWAYS too little or too much!
