This game has gone like so many other games. No idea what to do, where to go, how to complete quests. When you search for the answer you get web pages telling you what you already know. IE, it will tell you the quest details but no solution where to go or what to do. No one wants an idiots guide, but game makers rely on youtube, good people giving their time to answer what as a quest should have had more information added to it. The second huge issue is they have no help, or they do which is useless. Not everyone who plays destiny 2 played the first one, but i think running around with a gun hoping you do the quest step by accident just so you can do it, would never be my choice of putting content over in a game. My point is that without YouTube which is not owned by the game, or good people helping out by explaining what needs to be done. All games that put information about what to do in a way that is nothing but stupidity and idleness on the game makers, then no game would ever be successful. Basically do your -blam!-ing job, stop relying on outside sources and peoples good time to make it understandable. Some of these quests are nothing short of frustrating. The hard part of a game should be in it's play not in where the -blam!-, or what the -blam!- or how the -blam!- am i supposed to do. Lazy game makers will suffer as already cheap easy to understand free games are making their mark.

objectively, the OP is not wrong. daily population is at 5%, lowest trials numbers ever, all medium to average size streamers bailed, the youtubers who are holding out on it being good are losing views and becoming more ridiculous every week. its been 6 months and please list a few concrete examples of what has been done to interject hope in to this game. and we'll skip the process of comparing the list of self-foot-shooting bungie has done that negate all hope. it wasn't abundantly clear until the dawning that the core of D2 has been compromised. remember that? almost all new items were tied to gambling mtx. why Tess is still right next to the postmaster is beyond me. people hate bugie for the obvious loot box gambling shit. and they force every player to listen to that corporate shill. in rocket league, you can remove the existence of their loot boxes so you can play and never even see that you got anything. they give players who despise that monetization an option to make it go away for ever. tuesday wont matter. dlc2 won't matter. at this point i'd congratulate Bungie on releasing a fall DLC, because its going to be a profit burn. Bungie burned people with D1 at the start. Then came back and hooked people like me who joined late. And they burned us. And the early adopter D1 people who loved it the whole time up until 2018... most of them are gone. Who is going to buy D3? Almost everyone who is interested in loot shooter mmo-lite shooters has an experience with bungie, and I think its safe to say that right now 90% of them have no faith in this franchise. A $10 "dlc" to keep updates coming to D1, enable trials, iron boner, etc, might make more financial sense than burning money on a fall DLC that drops to this current player base. The fact that there wasn't weapon balancing or small changes to shit like sniper rifles being useless in pve before DLC 1 blows me away.
