This is where I am at. I just dont think I have the energy to keep hoping a solution is round the corner. I am tired of waiting and hoping for it to turn into a great game like I felt D1 was to me. The love for D2 just isnt there anymore. I have pretty much put D2 to bed now and whilst I personally see it as a failure, I still hope whoever is working on D3 is taking notes of what just didnt work in D2 and give us something great again. Im not angry or salty just sad that D2 just wasnt for me and most of all, I hope the person who calls the shots in D3 isnt the one who called the shots in D2.

The main difference is that the "shared world shooter" new car smell has worn off. It's not special anymore. Destiny 1 felt like a very new and fresh idea, now the idea is old and other developers have hopped on the bandwagon.

7 RisposteTassi makes a lot of good points, points that have been posted here many, many times. The community is fed up. We're tired. Apathetic. The population numbers don't lie, nor do the 'discussions' of the remaining forumites and redditors. As he said, players don't care about this game enough to argue for it anymore: there are too many other games to spend time on. Minute, incremental improvements are a good thing, a necessary thing, but they're not enough by themselves. Sweeping, core system change is required and it's something Bungie is apparently not interested in doing, given how they focus on the piddly. To use Tassi's words, they're focusing on the paper cuts and ignoring the mortal wounds.

The real problem is that we already went through ALL OF THIS SAME EXACT CRAP with the first Destiny. It is utterly astonishing how little they actually did with D2 after all the feedback from 3 years. Like the article says, after everything from D1, there's no drive to fight for improvements. Especially since the community already said everything they wanted and got almost none of it because Bungie thinks they're so smart.

10 RisposteModificato da FataLVisioN_Oo: 3/9/2018 8:35:37 AMTWAB in a nutshell... we're buffing movement speed, leaving TTK the same and nerfing hunters. 🤔 who needs invis when you can run away faster then guns can kill? We're removing radar in trials!! 🤔 great so I can play lets find little timmy hiding in a glitch spot with heavy.

4 RisposteIf I was the lead designer of bungie... -cancel all progress with destiny 2 -scrap everything for destiny 2 -end it off with the may dlc -fire the head writers - I would personally write an apology note and send it on mass with a video of me reading it and announcing with the continuation of destiny 1 content -refund those who don't want to continue with destiny 1 -then go on hiatus for a large free dlc expansion with large open areas and using the astetics of destiny 2 to revamp the game.

Why don't you make a proper title to the thread?
-
Moderator edit: we’ve moved this to feedback because we do not like negative things in the Destiny 2 forums. Love Cozmo Also, DMG here, I’m editing this thread to one about cookie recipes.
-
I like to check the forums hoping Bungie has something good planned for Destiny 2. I haven’t logged in to the game for a while because I bought an OG Xbox and a 360 to replay all the Halo games. I don’t think I’m going to come back to Bungie games until they finish Destiny and make a new IP.

The ghost of that wet spot on the floor that used to be the dead horse you guys were beating wants a break...

4 RisposteCue the triggered fanboys in 3...2...1..

Bungie: You have sight, but no vision The franchise deserves to die because everyone knows the saying “repeating the same thing over and over again but expecting different results is the definition of insanity.” I guess Bungie is DEEP in the loony bin.

1 RispondiWhat ever they released now, the damage has been done. The market place is too big to and competative to continually make mistakes, and be allowed to get away with it. No doubt a percentage will stay, some will return. But without trust many won't. The game has truly ditched its Wow factor, and it doesn't invigorate passion to play it anymore. Let's take a step back to D1 for a second, bear with me. It was reset day, and I'd watch the clock until the hour struck, and it was time to raid, to do NF, meeting my friends, fighting for elusive loot. 2am in the morning, having ONE last go at the raid or a level. Knowing work was only a few hours away, but you didn't want to go to bed. Wed was gunsmith reset, breaking up the week with something to look forward to after reset. Friday xur, will he have the goods you are after? TWAB, seeing what treats are on the horizon? Weapon rolls, getting good with a sniper, playing the raid again to help friends. ToO, getting your ass handed to you You get my point, as the list goes on D2? Can't even find the enthusiasm to hit the start button on my console. Don't need to list all the faults, that sentence sums everything up. Miss you destiny, we had some good times together, but I do feel it's time to go our separate ways.
We will always have that moment in the loot cave! X
6 RisposteAt this point there's no debate on it. Everyone from their community managers to their upper exeuctives are going to have to be publicly fired or the company, forget the game, the company is dead. Dead and unmourned. Honestly, good riddance. But some of yall have this weird fixation on Bungle. So. If you support Bungle, then push for them to restructure, they need new people. And frankly unless they openly and insultingly just throw all the old executives out, people are done.

2 Risposte
...all these complaints and refinements were leading toward a product that was the diamond compressed from coal. By the end of Destiny 1’s lifespan, it felt like significant progress had been made toward that goal. Destiny 2 destroyed all that.
Savage 😂 and true
-
The game is dead, move along, nothing to see here. Check out D1's crucible on your way out though. I still play it every day and it's still fun.
-
Thanks for posting. Great to see folks writing about the FAILURE that is BUNGO!!! Bungie YOU EARNED THIS HATE AND DESERVE IT ALL!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR FAILURE AND YOUR CONTINUED EFFORT TO KEEP YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND!!!!
-
1 RispondiSoon this weight will fall on luke smiths head like an anvil he will have to explain to his family why they are getting their next meal from local dumpster.
-
I had to read it again.......this is really only one man’s opinion, may be spot on with some points, but still opinion.
-
He knows the game and clearly used to love it. I am a day 1 player with exactly the sentiment and experience he writes about. My last attempt was I fought for #RemoveEververse, but now I just don't care any more....
-
3 RisposteThe joke is Luke Smith wrote scathing reviews of Halo 2, arguably the best Halo ever. He was a journalist. Now he's lead on Activision and Bungie's biggest IP ever. This guy writing for Forbes will probably end up directing Destiny 6.
-
I read that article. It's very accurate in describing this game's downfall and why people who loved the game are actually hurt by it. There was so much to be desired and it died. Oh well, there are better games out there now.
-
6 RisposteWe should all make the player count for D1 spike tremendously. Make an event out of it...hell, thousands of people can get together to Naruto run & say "wow" like Owen Wilson. Shouldn't be too hard
-
1 RispondiFire Luke Smith. Fire Mark Nosewoethy. Both -blam!-ed the game because they disagreed with how players played it. They dumbed it down. Ruined it. Bungie need a to re-evaluate their goals.
-
Good review of what is wrong here.
