A Bold Idea
High were my spirits, signing into Destiny yesterday; I had a new weapon to claim, you see, and guardians to slay in Iron Banner.
Wait. *rubs bridge of nose, attempting to massage away rage* there is no Iron Banner. But they said this month! Oh, wait, next Tuesday is TECHNICALLY this month.
Alright Bungie, my bold new idea is this: a monthly calendar of events. Release a month-to-month calendar of what we can expect in each month (and stick to it whenever possible) and you will see the community frustration fall... Somewhat. You've done a poor job in managing expectations, and this leads to frustration.

Although I know this would be a pain for Bungie, I agree that there should be "something" new or special to do just about every week. I'm not talking about modifiers for Nightfall, a rotating challenge room in the Leviathan raid, or trials. Currently we have seasonal events - The Dawning, Crimson Days, Faction Rally, and somewhat monthly IB. While we have these, there are many weeks we have nothing (like this week). Most of us hard core guardians have already finished upgrading our power to max (335) as well as our gear - both weapons and armor. Drops from milestones and exotic engrams no longer thrill us other than to save for infusion material or dismantle into legendary shards & weapon parts. I don't know the answer here. Maybe the other non-toxic guardians of the forum can pipe up on this thread and provide some suggestions as well. Maybe extra XP weeks (like Clarion call?) which would get us extra bright engrams - but to be desirable, they would need to drop frequently. More rotation of special Crucible modes such as Mayhem Clash. We already know you've got it up and running in D2 - let it return more often. How about MC as the Crucible mode for the next IB? That would make folks happy and they would play more! New activities to gain a special emblem or emote. Bungie can create those fairly easily, then require guardians to do x, y, and z to acquire said special item. It would be limited time - maybe only for that week. Log in, do the tasks, get the cool item, or never get it. Not sure of the amount of effort for this next one - but bring back Crucible maps from D1. You did this for Shores of Time/Distant Shores. More of this please. How about one new map every couple weeks? It would breathe life into Crucible and get more folks playing. Also, at this point the seasons are too long - i.e. not enough content in one season to get you to the next one. Look at the Clan leveling - with max points per week clans were done through level 6 a couple weeks back. What do we do until Season 3? There are no more reasons to grind Clan XP. Maybe increase the clan levels and perks you can earn? Let's try to get some good suggestions going and rebuild some goodwill guardians!
