3 RisposteSo connection based matchmaking or skill based matchmaking? I always hear people want skill and if they put that in, boom now they want connection.
-
2 RisposteYou can blame a dieing playerbase plus bungies obsession with SBMM for this.
-
And miss all that "friendship" ? Bungie couldn't have that
-
2 RisposteYou would wait HOURS if matchmaking was local or regional.

That is why from day one they only had 2 play lists. They wanted to maintain their broken SBMM into this game and they KNEW that the player base of the game was absolutely going to tank and tank fast so they made 2 play lists so they could make sure and always have someone to match make and at least fill two 4 man teams. That while maintaining their absolutely broken matchmaking system that is not based on anything that pvp players would agree with which is why how it works isn't openly discussed.
-
But The playerbase is so low You’d never be able to play a match 😂

2 RisposteI just don‘t want to play with french and arabic people anymore

THIS! Unfortunately most people have stopped playing this game, so it's either play people on the other side of the world, or we can't play at all.

We have the slowest internet of most of the developed world

It does suck for sure. But the population is going to hover around what it is now and it won't increase dramatically. And high population is the backbone of this P2P Hybrid system as they need to have decent pools of players in all regions to match them accordingly. Scary thing is this is three months into a game that's supposed to make PvP strech for 3 years. DLC swings bring some people in but won't increase the population to levels to make the connections flawless. Which pretty much insures that they won't split the quickplay or probably ranked into seperate playlists as it will fragment the population further, which in turns makes the algorithm search outside of optimal parameters to find games. At this point I don't know what they can do with current structure and infrastructure to make this more palatable. Really what's left is for them to ride it out and hope for the best.
