What I don't understand...
Is why people complain the weapons in D2 are crap and they love the D1 weapons better... yet they get triggered when Bungie brings back old exotics.

We want fun gun to use in PVE...aka powerful..blow everything. But because Bungie insist PVP can use PVE gun...they nerf everything. So the culprit here is the PVP. PVP should use their own setup. Not PVE setup.

I thought the complaints about D2 weapons was the serial nature; the only thing that changes between Origin Story 1 and Origin Story 2 is the power level.

I’m fine with leaving my d1 stuff in d1, but what I️ want are guns that are just as powerful as d1 guns were. But no, they take some d1 guns water them down to nerf guns and hand them back. You don’t feel powerful anymore

I'd like to see old D1 weapons back in the mix IF they are like they were in D1. Any D1 weapon that gets brought back into D2 is basically going to be a shell of what it used to be. A watered down, cheap and easy way to add new "content" into D2. Look at the Gjallahorn. It was great in D1. Pretty much the go-to heavy for everyone...or at least for those who could actually get it. Then they nerfed it. Why? Then they decided to "bring it back" for ROI. Not the original version but the watered down, nerfed version. It's just stupid and just a very lazy, cheap way to add new "content" into the game without actually doing anything.

Might have something to do w/ them bringing them back... AGAIN... Mida - vanilla D1 weapon. Brought back in TTK, brought back again in D2... armor is the same way.

People want weapons that are new weapons but as good as the old ones. That's usually how new gear is in games, especially sequels. It's not that hard to understand if you take a moment to think about it.

It all depends on how bungie brings them back. People who are complaining now are just assuming. They think that when bungie brings up old content, guns, missions, raids, armor, etc., that it’s going to make up 90% of the dlc. Honestly, I would love for bungie to put everything from D1 in D2. If they add it back piece by piece with each dlc, that’s fine. The stipulation is that they should market it as the dlc. For example, if for curse of Osiris, you have the main story missions being new and that’s it, that could be a problem. This means that all the “new” exotics are old D1 exotics brought to D2, the adventures are revamp versions of D1 missions, etc. That’s where it makes sense for people to get mad; because most of the dlc we paid for in D1. Now if bungie has all new story missions, adventures, exotics, etc. and then brings forward D1 stuff that enriches the dlc with relevant content, (for example, bringing forward vog, the paradox mission, anything related to the vex and Osiris essentially), then that’s awesome on their end.

I don't understand how you think this is a good argument. D1 weapons were great in D1. This is D2 and one would assume that they have the creative capacity to make good, [u]new [/u]exotics. Is that so much to ask?

Because bringing back 1 or 2 old exotics is not what people want. People want the old weapon system back. Major difference.

D1 weapons w/ random perks made getting that perfect setup worth grinding for. Recycling exotics that will have locked perks from D1 lacks imagination. They destroyed the tower and all our loot. We should be seeing new & greater things not the same w/ worse perks.
