Yeah I don't see someone who doesn't want to die in war going to the front lines outside of a draft. "Genius"

Because the whole military is the front lines right?
-
More than those not in the military yes.
-
Then enlist and choose instead of waiting to be drafted and being forced.
-
Odds of a draft happening again are low. Plus I'm an only son. Enjoy my career. Have no aspirations in fighting in a war unless it's on the home front.
-
The odds are low I agree. Also, I’m the only son and child and I enlisted in 2003 right when the Iraq war commenced. Was in almost 12yrs. Clearly we are 2 different types of people.
-
In 2003 I was 15. Military has never appealed to me. Especially after a thanksgiving dinner where my uncle talked about his experience in Vietnam(the only time he's talked about it according to my grandpa). While I respect those who do join I think it's best for someone who's scared of being on the west coast because of a North Korean threat to not join the military. So yes we are different.

The type of mentality that allows fear to paralyze instead of embolden and incite action is not for me.
The type of mentality that allows fear to paralyze instead of embolden and incite action is not for me.
And I'm sure you wouldn't want to rely on that type of person if shit hits the fan. Which is why that person shouldn't be in the military.

You won that argument, my congrats {-}7
