Currently playing the game I've reached level 20 and over 8 exotics in this period. D1's system required work in order to achieve a fitting reward, now being able to acquire them from public events and story missions has made them just "another exotic engram" and not something to jump out of my chair for. Hopefully Bungie listens to feedback, as it is the only way they can really increase the value of any upcoming content.
I could be wrong, I could be the only one that feels this way, but through the interaction I've had so far with other players this theme has been consistent.
P.S. Bring back the old shaders system, no one wants to "grind" for shaders.

You're not the only one who feels this way....but you are fighting the design of the game. Something I've been trying to get people to understand since the early days of D1. EXOTICS IN DESTINY ARE NOT TROPHIES. They fill in the gap in the game's design created by it having such an oversimplified character SKILL TREE. So the only way that the game can give a player new powers after he (or she) fully levels up the skill tree (which can be done as early as level 15)....is by giving them through new gear. ...and Exotic weapons and armor are usually how that is done. So they serve a major function in the game by allowing for build customization. ...and if you start making these items really rare to statisfy that desire for "trophies"....you'll break the game.

Modificato da RavenousLD3341: 9/13/2017 1:45:32 PMuhhhh... no. Exotics being the ONLY thing that adds value to upcoming content would be horrible design on Bungie's end. I'm fine with the way things are now. The biggest issue with Destiny 1 (not for me but for 80% of the players) was that Exotic weapons/armor was locked behind endgame content that required players to hunt down their own teams. Guess what? Nearly 80% of Destiny players didn't do that. Enter Three of Coins. Finally the everyman could participate in the Exotic collection game. Destiny 2 Many many events have a chance to provide you with an exotic. Not only does this make MORE activities valuable, it brings MORE players into the power economy. Which in turn means that hopefully there will be a larger pool of players to raid and nightfall with in the future. This really is a good change, and it's good for ALL players. I get that some people want to just stand in the tower and look super elite and special with their fancy raid gear, and exotics.... but the fact is that more players need to participate in these activities, and providing them with more ways to acquire the gear that will make their raid contributions relevant is great. Plus for high level players like myself, it provide me with many many avenues to score high level gear while playing by myself in my "relax and shoot stuff" mode. EDIT: Funny.. downvote with no rebuttal. I'll assume whatever your objection was it was illogical and thus invalid.

3 RisposteFirst world problems. And who the hell is grinding for shaders? I have a bajillion of them already from just playing the game.
-
1 Rispondi
D1's system required work in order to achieve a fitting reward,.
Someone's looking at the past with rose-colored glasses, lmao! You mean dicking around in a Crucible match, doing terrible, being bottom of the scoreboard and gettin Gjallarhorn? OK.
-
1 Rispondithey bloody reuse more than half of the D1 exotics...
-
2 RisposteNO weapons are exciting at all. The game is now 100% BORING!
-
Most every exotic is also worthless. Used for infusion and they are not even good for that. This game is a level 10 nerf of D1 and that is about it.
-
1 RispondiAgreed, OP. I've just hit level 20 last night, and I've received 6 or 7 Exotics so far. None of them have made me feel that they're anything special. They've all been pretty lackluster. Especially the Armor Exotics. They've been pretty much crap all the way around. Design is uninspired, and Legendary weapons and armor seem to have better benefits for my Guardian than what the Exotics offer. Just really disappointing across the board so far.
-
2 RisposteTheres are exotics perks that were the same perks for legendary weapons in d1, the exotics in this game are trash
-
Bring back the 4th Horseman and/or the NLB. Actually, anything really that requires it's own unique play-style. It doesn't need to be op, just something we can work on and enjoy using. The weapons in this game currently feel awfully boring.

3 Risposte
D1's system required work in order to achieve a fitting reward
I always have to laugh when I see this sentiment being expressed about D1's loot system, especially in year one. Kind of like the whole "I earned my <insert exotic here>" thing. No, D1's system did NOT require work. It was random as shit. Some people did all the raids, nightfall, heroic strikes, etc, every week trying to get certain exotics to drop, such as Gjallarhorn. Then there were people like me, who ended up getting it seven times in year one. Three of those were all within a week. I helped a 10 year old kid do VoG for the first time, in which he was either dead or hiding in a corner the whole time. We kill Atheon and he gets the Vex. Would you say he earned that? Did he work hard for that fitting reward? On the other hand, I know people who didn't get a Vex until VoG was brought back for AoT, despite being really good at the game and playing all the time. If the only way you can keep people playing the game is to try to keep the best loot forever out of reach, there's something wrong with your game. I have nine exotics so far, and I quite like most of them. They make the game more fun to play. Certainly a lot more fun than if I was still chasing an exotic drop and wondering when I'd ever get one.
-
When raid groups start blocking people for not having X weapon, you'll be glad you've already gotten five of them.
-
1 RispondiI'm not too broken up over the new exotic system. D1's system wasn't perfect either. People were stuck waiting for months to even a year for things like the Jade Rabbit or Zen Meteor just because RNG hates them. I prefer this method better. Yeah, exotics aren't as special, but at least you won't have to worry as much about getting totally jipped by a system you have ZERO control over.
-
When grinding for a legendary shader is harder then grinding for an exotic then you know you have a serious problem with your game
-
2 RisposteExotics haven't been exciting since the Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker in year 1.
-
3 RisposteIn exotic stand point bungie did say they would make exotics slightly easier to get cause they didn't want people to feel that only as they say "elite" can acquire them that's why now they are more frequent
-
3 Risposte3 Exotic engrams ALL TURNED INTO FOETRACER WTF
-
8 RisposteThere are hunter exotic arms with the perk increase reload and handling of sidearms...why is this even exotic?
-
This I agree with. It's almost like they were too careful with the exotics this time around. They didn't want to create another icebreaker or G-horn, and in doing so they made some of the weakest exotics yet.
-
5 RisposteModificato da VVeenus5060: 9/11/2017 5:07:41 AMwell i tend to agree with the excitement factor when exotics were actually great... but now they r just really underwhelming and basically used as infusion fodder because they usually drop at higher lite... there are so few so far that i actually like and none of em i really love... gravitron is decent but pretty unstable... merciless looks cool but takes forever to charge a shot usually die in crucible before every getting a shot off... the exotic secodary grenade launcher is absolute poo... since its a single shot i expected it to do major damage but my leg. scout out dps it sad really its vaulted and prolly never come out again... exotics arent really worth much except maybe mida they r so bad i fact i think they should take the 1 exotic equipped rule out
-
To be fair, D1's exotics weren't all that great at the end. Grinding away for weapons and armor wasn't hard, just time consuming. Then when you get that exotic you've been grinding for you get excited, not so much for the item itself but for the fact you can stop looking. That is unless you are not happy with the rolls of the armor you got and so you continue grinding away until you finally get that perfect armor roll for your character build. D2 has a mix of both with some of the exotics requiring a quest to be completed that also has rng elements within it. Take the Mida quest line for example, one of the quest steps requires you to dismantle 5 rare or better scout rifles. If you didn't know to save these scouts for this part then you will be grinding away for them. So the grinding in D2 is still there even in the exotic quest lines. D2's exotics do seem to be a bit more powerful but with balance. So far I'm pleased with how they turned out, power with finesse. Since this is still the first week of the game I'd give it a chance and not make any judgments on the exotics and how they are acquired.
-
Modificato da Kone19ps: 9/10/2017 10:52:39 PMI didn't want to grind exotics either. Rng is the least fulfilling way to acquire loot
-
3 RisposteThey are still super rare for me, only one actual engrams drop for me. But I get your point. I hate how everyone gets at least two exotics for finishing the story. I really just wish they would all be a pretty hard quest or something to get them.
-
It was the same for d1 in y2 and y3
