so by putting at time limit in night falls for destiny 2 will result in excluding or never helping other lesser skilled players. In my opinion this is going cause people to require you to be a highly skilled player. just look what happen with trials and POE this is a bad idea if you truly want a better community for end game this is not the right way to go about it.
They should not end night falls by time limits. They should just leave the sunrise bounty system with the timer they currently have alone. but again bungie ignores what makes this game fun and only listen to pvp pros and leaves the general audience to just get left out of end game content. We don't need another trials exclusion type game mode we need an inclusive game mode so every guardian has a chance not bound by time limits in a pve game mode.
and guided games is not the answer it will turn out just like lfg.

8 RisposteModificato da Eternity: 8/13/2017 1:11:13 PMHere's a simple concept for you: - The best loot in the game should be the most challenging to obtain - Therefore the PvE pathway of easy to hard difficulty, and likewise rubbish to godly loot, should look something like: - Story missions --> Adventures/Lost Sectors --> Strikes --> Nightfalls --> Raids In year 1 of Destiny, nightfalls were genuinely challenging, and gave out appropriate high tier rewards - legendary weapon and exotic drop rates were very high - none of this BS about strange coins/3oC/horns (ffs Bungie...), PLUS you got the exp buff for the rest of the week. From year 2 onwards, they nerfed the shit out of nightfall difficulty to the point where they felt almost identical to a regular heroic strike, and diluted the rewards heavily as a result. You ended up with a close to garbage level activity - hardly worth it. That's changed a little since they've buffed drop rates slightly recently and added the exp buff back, but the point still stands. Nightfalls are second only to raids for PvE difficulty and rewards - they need to be noticeably more difficult to strikes if they are going to have high tier loot and weekly loot lockouts. Bungie are trying to move away from the more frustrating difficulty elements of Destiny 1 (kick to orbit in NFs, no res ever in hard mode raids) and implement different types of difficulty modifiers - for that I applaud them. It's also worth noting that from the footage we've seen, Nightfalls themselves will have a 'normal' and 'heroic' difficulty modifier - it's very likely that the 'normal' variants will have more generous time limits (as well as easier enemies etc.)

1 RispondiFrom what we know the highest tier nightfall won't have guided games, i'm guessing that will be the one with the timer too. So if you want the best loot then you better get two good friends/players to run it with, the best players who can do the top tier end game should get the best rewards. It's like saying everyone who wins a game in trials should get the lighthouse gear, its stupid. There needs to be something for the best players or whats the point in having different difficulties.
-
2 RisposteI can honestly say myself and one of my other clan leaders will be using guided games to pick up ( any skill level, as long as they can enter the nightfall) other players. He and I frequently two manned things in the past and I don't see that changing for D2 so picking up a third regardless of their skill or loadouts and carrying them, if that be the case, won't be a big deal to us and who knows maybe we'll make a new friend or new clan mate. I understand that their are those shitty people out there that will be all elitist but even if my clan and I are the only clan using this to help others than at least we will be helping some.
-
I dont think it will, In my experience I always do nightfalls with friends/clan mates as it's a lot easyer to get 2 than it is 5 for a raid, I have never used LFG for nightfalls because of this. I firmly believe friends or clan mates would never say to someone I ain't doin a nightfall with you unless you have X weapon or Y weapon, plus we must take into account that nightfalls generally aren't as hard as a raid and having the exact weapon for a certain boss isn't as prevalent.
-
There will always be "exclusion" for whatever reason, as long as people like that exist.
-
There will not be a timer on the normal night fall. The timer they're talking about is more like a modifier. If you do run it in x amount of time, you'll get a special reward, is not as if you can't complete it normally.
-
1 RispondiI hope it does create a "gally" effect, weed out the lame players. Let them crawl back to PvP.
-
What's a ghallihorn?
-
Holy shit.....end game content in d2 is going to be hard and require skill and speed?!?!?!?! Un-blam!-ingplayable...... If this is you....bye bye bud. Don't let the door hit you in the ads on the way out.
-
This has nothing to do with pvp. Weapon balancing and damage as well as ability recharge has to do with pvp. This is making end game content harder to get that some individuals are complaining will be to easy to get. I think the current system is fantastic but Bungie is probably trying its hardest to differentiate between the two games. I think if it ain't broke then don't fix it but it turns out that a good portion of individuals just want something different even if it is broken. Only time will tell if this will work or not but I just want improvements on destiny, not necessarily changes.
-
What has the timelimit got to do with pvp pros?
-
I get where you're coming from. The nightfall will be (one of) the ways to earn the best loot in the game. People will want those with the good gear to Nightfall with so that they can earn the best gear. Basically, those with good gear get better gear, those with worse gear get nothing. I think we may need to wait and see how it plays out though. I doubt it will be a big problem when the game launches.
-
Make everything easily attainable and take away any sense of achievement? Nah.
-
Yep, the problem with timed activities in a game that offers loot that may or may not be better then other loot is that in order to increase the chance of success a limited type of weapons will be considered acceptable in groups. It's kinda like being forced into single viable build for a class in an MMO to be even considered for a Raid/dungeon group.
-
This is a good thing. They made the nightfall wayyyyyyy too easy now.
-
3 RisposteTime limits are so stupid and just a hardened task to make it seem more difficult than it should be. Another reason I'm a no buy.
-
Lesser skilled? Play until you get skill THEN do things that require skill Or is that unthinkable?
-
1 RispondiSeems more like having additional players (unless they are complete dead weight) would only help in a timed situation. Less focused fire from enemies per person, more damage to individual enemies, and faster clear times for add waves. It also makes it much harder for people trying to solo, which I understand to a point - it is strange how changes to the strikes and NF at the end of D1 and going into D2 seem to be a crusade against solo players.
-
3 RisposteModificato da joey big guns: 8/14/2017 2:27:35 AMBruh...it'll be a nightfall, not a raid. Smh. Why you so upset. You scared of a timer?? 🙄 I mean yeah, your PvE stats aren't that great but that's what being on a fireteam's about. There are plenty of asshats on the recruitment forums asking for stupid requests for the easiest crap, steer clear of them and you'll do just fine finding decent people.
-
The way bungie makes weapons, creating a locked loadout system for timed activity's will likely force a weapon meta for those events. Anyone that hasn't gotten the meta weapons may be at a disadvantage, especially in lfg situations. I'm all for difficulty, however, bungie has created some horrible meta's in the past. The idea of getting stuck using weapons you dislike during end game content, due to a meta, feels pathetic this far into a franchise... How many weapons are going to be essentially useless because they don't fit end game pve or pvp requirements. In destiny 1 people could manage a terrible weapon in end game content or pvp if they really liked the weapon. The new weapon system and locking of loadlouts doesn't sound forgiving enough to allow such a wide weapon choice. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
-
It's almost the same as the sunrise bounty but the time will be adjusted separately for each nf. Some times at the moment you can comfortably beat the 30 minutes because the strike / modifiers are easier. On D2 these will have a shorter time than others. That's all that will happen.
-
How many times have you timed out of the nightfall since it was added in D1? I never have. This likely will have no impact at all.
-
1 RispondiI foresee lots of Fireteam leaders booting the other 2 and inviting thier friends at the end of NFs, with this change.
-
7 RisposteIt's really not too hard. If 13 minutes is the limit for a strike, they must have play tested it and said, "Hey, this is a short strike." Honestly, the only time we took hours on Nightfalls was back when you would get kicked to orbit, and Cerberus Vae III.
-
Having a ghallarhorn never meant someone was better, it meant they were more fortunate. The nightfall was originally supposed to be one of the most difficult pieces of endgame activity along with raids. After y2 they became a joke. Hopefully making it more difficult means it will be worth something again.

2 RisposteYou're right, losers wont be carried as much going forward.
